06:01:28 PM
hello!
So I'm here to demystify this piece of the puzzle for you. Uh, your first step now is mainly really just deciding what campus is right for you. And is it UC Davis?
We good. OK, I think everything is going OK, so let's go ahead and has anyone here already submitted an Sir?

06:02:28 PM
Perfect! Sounds great.
That I will be answering questions at the end of the presentation. I have about 15 minutes of content to share with you, and then I'm going to go ahead and do a Q&A at the end and we're going to have plenty of time to answer any questions you guys may have more crime. So First things first, let's talk about the five most popular reason. Students say that they chose UC Davis, so we have one of the largest. Campus is a lot of the 1st and probably most obvious reason someone would choose a campuses.
How gorgeous it is, right? So we have the largest of all these season. This includes our massive quad right in the heart of our campus. A great location for students to socialize, study, relax, have gorgeous lawns and gardens on the right. You can see this shot of heart Hall which is nestled right next to the quad at the heart of our campus. On the left you can see a picture of our residence Hall for our first year students. Housing is guaranteed for all of our first year students and we highly encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to live on campus.
We have multiple options for housing and you can select all those preferences in that housing application. So we also once you submit your Sir, that's when you will do that.
Christopher Cheung
06:03:27 PM
Where is that?
Leticia Garay
06:03:45 PM
Hello all! My name is Leticia and I'm also an adviser for UC Davis as well. Like Devon, I am also an Aggie alum: Class of 2015, Psychology major. I will be able to answer questions for you all as well.
And that, along with all of your other, um, enrollment tasks will be available on my admissions and will talk briefly about those as well. So on the South side of our campuses Arboretum home, 2000s of species of wildlife, Puta Creek, various gardens are Redwood Grove and more so that serves as an outdoor laboratory. But it's also a nice backdrop for ajag or a picnic. Lots of different options there.
Um, to tell you the truth, when I was looking for schools, yes, you want to look for a school that has good majors that has good experience. Opportunities for you, but I was really worried about the dining options and that was something that I was really focused on. So when I pick Davis I was definitely satisfied with all of the eating they have. So First things first when you are living on campus, you will have also a meal plan and you can use that in any of our three dining Commons, one of which you can see on the left. They serve delicious food from sustainable in responsible sources, and they work to cater to all dietary restrictions. So what?
Leticia Garay
06:04:38 PM
Hi Christopher, our quad is in the middle of our campus- our main hub! You'll find all kinds of events like the Buzz and our Farmers Market.
However, if you're a kosher or your vegan, they have nutritionists as well to help you make sure you have everything that you need, and you have delicious, healthy options to eat. For students grabbing a quick bite, the main place to go is the coffee house or coho, which is our Memorial Union. It's entirely student run and has an extensive menu of options that will fulfill any graving. The silo which is on the Southside Campus, has food as well, including made to order crepes and boars, head sandwiches, and also hosts a variety of local food trucks and those rotate throughout the year.
And then for the freshest ingredients folks can take advantage of our student farm which also helps to stock the pantry which is a program to provide free food to students to combat food insecurity on campus. So we have got you covered with food, regardless of if you're looking for ingredients quick meal. We have it all, and won't college is about academics that is only a part of the experience so on campus. We've got multiple museums. And amazingly newly renovated rec pool at eight Lane Bowling Alley billiards and Lounge.
All to keep you entertained when you're taking those study breaks.
So another reason that students say they pick UC Davis is the experience they get inside and outside the classroom. and I would say emphasis on outside the classroom. So on the left you can see a picture of a student taking are very popular tractor driving course. I myself took it in absolutely loved it with over 100 apartments on campus. We have a lot of unique experiences for students to take advantage of it with learning it, but also having some fun. So on the right you can see a picture of a student in the coffee lab course.
Um, an the which includes learning about brewing an also tasting different types of roasts.
Outside of Davis, students can still learn and get that hands-on experience in a lot of different locations. So in Sacramento we have our Med school where students can secure internships and also help with research. We also have our UCS Sacramento program for students interested in political science and policy making, etc. We also have a similar program at UC DC are excuse me is called you CDC. It's in Washington, DC so it has that it's in the nation's capital instead of our state Capitol. We also have our Bodega Bay Marine Laboratory where students can participate in a summer residence program seen in the photo.
The last so they can get their hands on experience by the ocean. So yes, we are pretty far inland and Davis itself, but we do have a lot of opportunities for students to get that coastal experience as well. You see to give us also boasts one of the most expensive study abroad programs of UC campuses with programs that visit over 40 countries on every continent. I actually studied global literature in Greece when I was a student with a UC Davis Professor, which was really awesome. I got to read different books about Greece by Drake.
Authors, while traveling on throughout Europe, so we had a lot of fun doing that.
Jason Yuen
06:07:26 PM
How far away is the coast?
And of course, when you're considering what will happen for next four years are also trying to think about what how those four years will help you in the future. I'm in Davis. Make sure that you're learning while also building up that resume with work, an internship on and off campus so our student, government, ASU CD is one of those resources they have one of the biggest budgets of a college student government in the US, so that's a great opportunity to work with budgeting and finance. They also have a lot of programming and event planning opportunities, and ASU CD plans, picnic day. So that's all run by students as well.
Leticia Garay
06:08:14 PM
Hi Jason- we're about 1.5-2 hrs away from the coast. Many of our students take weekend trips to San Francisco !
They also have a lot of influence over various campus decisions and other departments like Unitrans, which is our buses. Those are all driven and repaired by students, which offers work experience but also money to help you pay for school and things like that. We also offer a very unique opportunity that I always like to highlight, called the barn residence program. So it's one of many ways that students are supported when they need housing similar to being a resident advisor. But in this situation it also provides experience working with animals.
So I want a daily basis so you can see one of our students here holding a lamb. She lives in our sheet down cheap arm for a bit, which is really cool and for those of you who are like I'm not an animal science major, what else can I get hands-on experience doing our internship and Career Center? Put students in over 10,000 internships every year. I personally didn't internship in San Diego with the the local CBS News station. I learn more about broadcast journalism in that world, which was really cool because it was something I was considering pursuing when I graduated. So lots and lots of opportunities for students to get that experience.
Jeffrey Lee
06:09:18 PM
are there any other scholarships/financial aid we can get?
So when you're looking for a school, you want to find a place where you can be really healthy and that physical and mental aspect, but also environmentally. And all those things we take very seriously. At Davis, we are green as can be is what I like to say, so we're very green. We hold various rankings for sustainability efforts all around campus, so we rely on green transportation. Like I mentioned, our buses. And are we heavily rely on those ecofriendly bikes that keeps our impact on the environment super low. We also.
Uh, constantly implement ecofriendly practices like like having solar panels to help provide energy to allow different buildings. Constructing LEED certified buildings and they have things like skylights in place of lighting. We're also committed to recycling and composting, and we have designated bins all throughout campus so we can all do our part to support the environment.
Leticia Garay
06:10:16 PM
Hi Jeffrey- your UC application doubled up as a scholarship application to our campus. Once financial aid packages are finalized by the end of next week, you'll be able to see what your financial aid options are.
So I mentioned biking and that is a major part of UC Davis culture and it's good for the environment. But it's also good for you. So In addition to the exercise from bike transportation, students have full access to our recently expanded activities. An rec center of fully loaded jam that has exercise classes at rock climbing wall, basketball and racquetball courts. You name it. We also have a lot of different health programming on campus so you can see in the top corner there a free yoga session. It's in the quad and those types of opportunities happen throughout the year.
Um also helps with physical, but also mental help. Our dining halls, campus eateries, and pantry all offer healthy food options, but we also have a farmers market on campus. So In addition to having one of the best farmers markets in the nation downtown, we also have one on campus so students have easy access to fresh, organic produce on a regular basis. So whatever you're looking for, we've got you.
Jeffrey Lee
06:11:04 PM
Thank you!
So for me, school spirit and was something that I was really cared a lot about. I wanted to look for a school that had a lot of Spirit for sporting events and things like that, which I don't know if everyone looks for. But I think once you become a student, something you really come to appreciate, so we do have over 20 NCAA Division, One athletic teams, and that does include football, one of only three UC campuses with football. We also have basketball which is actually competed in March Madness. In previous years an newly we added a question in beach volleyball.
All of our sporting events are free for students and we do have a massive student cheer section called the Aggie Pack which usually includes free swag which makes these events super fun to be apart of. And then for those of you interested in playing sports as well, we have a lot of opportunities with our various club teams. There's over 30 of those and then instrument intramurals or iems are. Rec teams are also abundant on campus.
But when you're talking about spirit, I think that extends past athletics, so ucdavis spirit is kind of all throughout the campus, but also the surrounding town. So the location of the school you want to attend is so important 'cause you're committing to living there for four years. and I would say as far as Davis is concerned, it's a college town through and through. So you have alumni and community members all celebrating the campus. Ann wanted to contribute to that college experience. Davis is truly such a great place to spend your college years. It's a place that I love Dan. I'm even back 'cause I want to be able to do that for current students now.
And Lastly, the most common thing that you'll hear students talk about is the sense of community they feel on our campus. So people, even strangers, are very friendly and supportive to one another, which makes us a truly wonderful place to study. You learn and live. We have physical spaces like our residence halls, International Center, Ann Student Community Center, but all offer students opportunities to congregate and connect in real time. But we also have programming and different campus groups for students to find.
Annette Mino
06:12:47 PM
The link for the webinar wasn't working, so I missed the first ten minutes. Any chance I can somehow hear what I missed?
Their space or multiple spaces on campus, wherever that may be. So with hundreds of clubs, hundreds of.
Uh, employment opportunities, internships, and more all allow students to find things or passion about and meet others who share their interests. So there's a space for everyone from all walks of life, including you. So something I always challenge people to do is to ask them if you know what alumni or another current student ask them about their experience and what they did while they were on campus, and they will all have very unique stories about different things they were involved in. A different things that they learn, but the end of their story will always end the same and talk about how they love being at Davis.
They love the community and they were so happy that they were a part of it, so that's kind of just a little bit about the things that you need to consider when you're picking a school, and the ways that Davis can hopefully meet those expectations or exceed them. In many cases, I want to wrap up with a timeline of things coming up for you guys. I'm sure you are.
Familiar with the deadline to submit your Sir statement of potential register may one is kind of the fancy that deadline there. Once you do that, there's going to be a whole bunch of enrollment related tasks in my admissions, one of which will be your student housing deadline.
Leticia Garay
06:14:07 PM
Hi Annette. This session is being recorded so you'll have access to it at a later time but you can also ask any questions you have for us in this chat to get a live answer!
Jeffrey Lee
06:14:34 PM
thank you!
You'll double want to double check my, um, my information says May 6 but I know it's shortly after your submit your Sir. So just keep in mind you want to submit your housing application after you submit your Sir and then the other deadline. That's really common is students asking about transcription test scores. So we're looking at sometime in July, July 1 for transcripts the 15th for test scores, and all of those deadlines will be available in my admissions, so that's going to be kind of the main place you're going to go. If you have any questions about when things are done and what you need to do.
Leticia Garay
06:14:55 PM
We'll also have other sessions available if you'd like to tune in from the beginning!
If you have questions about those tasks in my admissions isn't helping you answer those, or you have questions about literally anything else, you can use the webinars, so we're going to have a pretty lengthy QA at the end of this. So if you guys have any questions, we're going to hit all of those. Right now. You can tune into other webinars. We're going to be hosting. We're going to have them on all kinds of different webinars available to you guys, and then if you have questions and you're like, you know when I don't need a web and I have a quick question.
Annette Mino
06:15:12 PM
Thanks so much!
You can very easily contact us on my admission or excuse me an admissions at ucdavis.edu. There's a purple little bubble with a question mark is they ask an advisor. It'll be on the right hand side if you scroll up down a tiny bit, and that's going to be your best bet to contact us. And we're going to get back to you as soon as possible, so.
Relax guys. The hard part is over the applications and the exams and the waiting. You guys have been in.

06:16:00 PM
Can you get involved with ASUCD as a freshman? Also - I live in Fair Oaks (about 30-40 minutes from UC Davis) and intend on coming back home on the weekends often - where should I keep my car while I'm living on campus? I know there isn't parking available for on-campus students so was wondering if there were other options.
And it it I can't say. Congratulations enough, and I hope other people are telling you as well 'cause it's such an accomplishment. So enjoy it. Bask in it. Take your time to really consider if this is going to be the right place for you. Ask us questions and ultimately we just look forward to the opportunity to be your home for the next four years. So I think it's time I want to go ahead and open it to questions. It looks like I already have a question about a CD, so let's go ahead and get get into that one. Can you get involved with a suc as a freshman?
There are no requirements in terms of the number of years you've been at gave us to be involved, so it all it all come down to what's going to be available when you're a student. So I was apart of so I definitely my freshman year. I definitely got involved in all kinds of things that first year so ASU CD has so many different types of positions you may start in something a little bit smaller and then work your way up for specifics about what's available through ASU CD. I believe they post things on. There's like a job.
Tania Beringer
06:16:36 PM
How complicated is submitting SIR?
Maggie job posting. So you'll be able to look at that once you're admitted, and once you're a student, excuse me and they'll have all the jobs listed there. You also, I think ASU city has a website that you can probably check out and go to and see. Kind of what they deal. Once available. Things like that.
So for students living local within an hour and they want to know if they want to go home on weekends, they're asking about car on campus so.
Parking, so you'll want to look at transportation and parking. Services will have all the info I think you'll need to purchase a parking permit.
Daven Jush Gomez
06:17:15 PM
Do you guys foresee that the SIR date will be pushed back due to the corona virus?
I know we have parking on campus. You'll want to have to just look at the transportation. In part, it's called taps transportation and parking services. They're going to have all the info on parking passes. Who can buy them? There's different tiers depending on student staff, etc. So that's going to be your best bet. So just go to tap, start UC Davis at Edu tips and that's where you can find more information about parking permits for your vehicle. So good question.
Zahra Baxi
06:17:47 PM
By test score deadline - do you mean AP tests?
How complicated is simply in the Siro? My gosh, it is pretty simple, so go to your mind or missions page when it says congratulations except your offer. Go down and click and click accept and then there's going to be a couple of little couple little steps that you'll need to take. I think there might be a deposit you don't need to put down and once you do that you're good to go, so my admissions will walk you through it. It's pretty user friendly Fortunately.
Sai Priyanka Iragavarapu
06:18:11 PM
How's the work-life balance like?
So a quick question about the test score deadline. So let's go back to this guy. So sending an official test scores. That's going to be AP exams, IB exams, things like that. So we.
Maybe kind of the main. Those are the tests that were talking about for that July 15th deadline. OK and there will be more specific details of what they're looking for when you look in your mind missions page, OK?
Alrighty so a question. This is a little bit more abroad. Was the work life, balance, life, work life balance like so we.
Leticia Garay
06:18:55 PM
Hi Daven. At this point in time, the SIR deadline is still May 1st since it is a UC system deadline. We are aware of the situation and will reach out to all admitted students if there is a change.
Saanika Joshi
06:19:01 PM
How common is studying abroad for students?
Davis is we are academically rigorous and we do have. I mean, academics are a big part of it. We do have some challenging courses so a lot of our different majors can have a lot of challenging coursework all back to back. But something to keep in mind is there's definitely a pretty good balance of and a recognition of what's important for mental health. What's important for students to be successful and happy, and that is having that balance so and there are a lot of opportunities that can be fun and educational. I think Davis is a good job of balancing those out, so things like.
Annette Mino
06:19:33 PM
Is there an honors program? If so, were students offered admission to the honors program with admission to the university, or is it a separate application?
Your employment opportunities or your research or internships? Those are things that you also will likely really enjoy doing. So while they could be technically in a work category, the fact that there are also fun in the fact that you could be like building community and friends. So when I was a tour guide on campus, I was actually friends with a lot of people I worked with so it kind of made work life balance that much easier because I enjoyed being around these people who were my coworkers and my friends. So I think that's a common anecdote that you'll hear from students.
There's a lot of community within all these different groups. Whether it's a classroom, whether it's you know a work environment, so lots of different things like that so.
I would say that's kind of my take on the work life balance. It can shift year to year I'm sure, but I would say that overall I think you'll be very happy with the amount of balance that we have.

When do classes start for the fall semester?
Leticia Garay

We do have an honors program and students were notified if they were accepted into the program along with their admission decisions. Students also have the opportunity to apply into the program after their first quarter at UCD.

How common is studying abroad for students?
Rahul Dodda
06:20:39 PM
When do classes start for the fall semester?
Looks like we have a question about studying abroad. Uh, a lot of students will study abroad because, um, financial aid will apply to your study abroad experience. The main differences you'll have to also pay for airfare and souvenirs. But because financial aid will apply, it makes it pretty easy for students to apply. And the cool thing about studying abroad as it's first come, first serve, so they're not looking for, oh, you're the you have the best GPA or anything like that, and the programs are a lot of them are not specific to a major so.
I was, uh, when I studied abroad. I was with a variety of different students of variety of different programs. Some of them were stem. Some of them are social Sciences and the cool thing is there actually you see broad wide excuse me. So I the program I was in. I was with students from Riverside and UCLA, and I think that is from Santa Barbara. So I got to meet other students at other UC's. Also meeting people in Europe which was cool. So lot of cool things about that. So it looks like we have a question.
About when fall classes start.
Noa Bronicki
06:21:24 PM
Helllo! Could you talk a little more about the Sacramento political science program you mentioned?
I can look that up. As of now, I would just Google that we have a calendar on line and you can see when everything starts. Things are kind of haywire in the world right now, so we're not exactly sure when everything is, but as of now you can see the most up-to-date academic calendar. Let me just Google it for you. Give me 1 second.
So let's see. You see Davis, you can probably hear me typing. Sorry about that. You see his academic calendar 2021.
Well, that's kind of far away, huh?

06:22:11 PM
How is the psychology program at UC Davis?
Maggie Chen
06:22:25 PM
Are there any orientation days before classes start?
So it will be end of September. That's our Standard Time. I don't know the exact date you can find the exact date on line. It'll be easier if you just look that one up. Yeah, late September looks like we have a question about the sacram UC Sacramento program, so it's a very cool program. It functions very similar to OK, so I'll talk about in Sacramento and we can go to the CDC in a second so the UC Sacramento program is open to any student, so we also have students that are in College of AG, especially working on things like Environmental Science and policy, for example.
Isaac Ing
06:22:51 PM
Any tips on biking? I am absolutely terrified about the rules of the road and proper etiquette !!
But a lot of times students that are interested in politics or political science, international relations things like that will opt to participate in the UC Sacramento or you CDC programs. The UC Sacramento program usually includes an internship. You can elect to live in Sacramento if you want, or I believe you can live in Davis. Transportation will kind of rely on that, and there's some differences there. I'm like what you want to do, but ultimately it's an opportunity to kind of do.
It's kind of like a study abroad program, but it's local so you'll be doing a heavily working on an internship with. It could be in lobbying or policy making or whatever. There's FM different variations to get more specifics. I would say look at the UC Sacramento website, you CDC functions a bit more like a study abroad program 'cause you do move to DC. I had a very good friend who ended up doing that and she really loved being able to kind of live. She took the entire spring semester. It was absolutely gorgeous. Like the blossom, the trees are blossoming and things.
But she got to, um, live there and learn there and do an internship and it really boosted her resume and she got a job right when she graduated, right in that in that same field. So it kind of set you up for success right after if you know what you want to do, working in any sort of policy, government things like that. So that is that between that and asked if you're going to have a lot of opportunities to really get that leadership experience to work in government or whatever other kind of organization you're interested in.

06:23:55 PM
Orientation has 3 parts this year. The online components will take place over the summer while the in-person portions will be take place a couple days before classes begin.
How is the psychology program at Davis? So we actually have a variety kind of, so we have our Bachelor of Arts in psychology. And then there's a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor.
Science based on a Bachelor of Science, math based. There's like two different tracks within that. And then I want to circle back really quick, but TCL, who's on the chat. She has a lot of different a lot of information about the Csac program. So she can probably add to that.
If she has anything else to add, yeah, and then she has things to add about the psych program as well. But like I said, there's The Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science options, so there's kind of two different routes there and then Laticia is going to kind of chime in and share a bit about the psych program at Davis in the chat so you can check more about that there.
And then it looks like they have a question on biking. Someone says they're terrified about biking in the rules of the road. Do not worry.
Akanksha Pandey
06:25:08 PM
Is it common for students to venture outside their major? And are there opportunities to do so?
A lot of students are a little bit concerned or less experienced about biking on campus. You will acclimate very quickly. You will get the hang of it. You just need to practice. If you are fearful and you don't, you don't practice. It's going to be a prolonged experience, so I would advise the first week or two of school. Maybe walking because a lot of students do are learning to bike on campus and getting the hang of it, so you may want to walk on that first week or two.
But once you get the hang of it and you.
Kathia Mondragon
06:25:52 PM
is there a roommate match up system?
Cactus and everyone else had been practicing. It's going to be a piece of cake. The Police Department also has free classes to help you and I can tell you biking is going to be super important because our campus is pretty big. All of our all of our roads on campus, so if you look at a map and you or you see roads in any of our pictures, those are all mostly for bikes only, so.
Sai Priyanka Iragavarapu
06:26:09 PM
How common is it for students to participate in research?
You won't have cars in the way you'll have just a lot of folks on bikes. You'll get the hang of bike circles very quickly, and then you can also rely on the Police Department. They have free classes, so do not be scared. Be excited that you're going to have really awesome calves from biking around so much.
Akash Jain
06:26:18 PM
What is your advice regarding visiting the campus or meeting with dept. reps at this time?
A question about the roommate matchup system, so um.
You there may be some like there may be a Facebook page or something of that nature and in terms of.
I think that would be a question for housing, 'cause I think it changes. When I was a student they did not have it was it was completely random when I was a student. I think that may have changed 'cause that was when I was going through housing was 2011 so I think it probably has changed a bit since then. what I would advise you to do is when you're.
Submitting your housing application, it will likely have more information. I believe you can request to live with someone you and that person need to have matching housing application preferences and it looks like they do use Facebook to match students, so that's something but they will use too much students.

Most students either bicycle or walk to and from campus, and we have a great student-operated Unitrans bus service free for UC Davis undergraduate students that serves the entire city of Davis. By the way, freshmen living on campus aren't allowed to bring their cars or purchase a campus parking permit.
Uh, what is advice regarding visiting campus? Are meeting with Department reps at this time? OK, so visiting campus is not an option as of this moment. Now what we can advise you to do? We have virtual tours on line and we have things like this web and R and will be hosting more that I put be put as many photos as possible to give you kind of that look and feel of what our campuses like. I know it's not the same as stepping foot on a campus but I think the virtual tour being apart of these webinars going on our website is going to be your best bet.
Folks are still working, it's just there, not it's just reaching them is going to be a bit different so.

How is Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior major class size?
I'm not sure which Department wraps you want to reach out to. I would say start with admissions user. Ask an advisor site and we will try and connect you to the best of your ability.
Saanika Joshi
06:28:15 PM
Are there job opportunities on campus?
I mean it's going to be kind of, uh, it's going to be changing consistently. Honestly, I think your best bet is to to contact us. This right here. Use the ask an advisor page and will try and connect you from there. OK, so we're going to do our very best.
Question about first year seminars, so they're always changing. There's always new ones. I took one about dogs in animal shelters. I also took one about creative writing. I've seen some about. I think that Simpsons and zombies, so they're very very fun to take again. Kind of shake up your course load and schedule. Just give you some new content to think critically and talk about really unique. Have even sometimes goofy conversations that are facilitated by.

Are there any specific tips you like to give to incoming freshmen on adjusting to a college environment?
Leticia Garay
06:29:15 PM
Almost all of our departments on campus offer student jobs. We have our online job database called Handshake where students can apply for part-time jobs as a student and full-time jobs as alum.
A professor and get to know other folks. So if you have access to 1st year seminars, definitely take one. There are a lot of fun. Looks like we have a question about class sizes, so for intro level courses a lot of them will be lecture style, so there could be 100 or more students. Once you start getting into major specific upper division courses are going to be much smaller and then keep in mind all of our courses, including especially the ones that are lecture, will have. So our lecture size classes are going to have discussions as well.
Or and or they will have a lab section and the discussions and labs are going to be so much smaller. Think of like an average high school class of maybe an average of 30 people or smaller, so you will have access to.
Come help with whatever you need and it's not going to be exclusively lectures and then once classes get like I said major specific upper division, they're going to be much smaller. They could be a small like less than 20 students, so depends on the major. It can really vary and then keep in mind that all of our intro level like language courses, those are going to be smaller. I believe there under 30 as well, so to make sure that students are picking up material.
So that's kind of, uh, just on class sizes.

You can work on campus at our Coffee House (COHO), student farm, student adviser for your major, or even as a bus driver (who wouldn't want to drive our London double decker buses?!)
Alrighty, any specific tips on for incoming freshmen on adjusting to the college environment so?

06:30:30 PM
Do you know of any opportunities there are for students majoring in communications?
Annette Mino
06:30:34 PM
Can you discuss research and internship opportunities?
The number I mean the first thing is going to be orientation, because that's going to be kind of everyone's first introduction to things, and that's going to help you get acquainted with campus orientation. We have a kind of a new set up this year, and I think it's going to be really awesome, so look forward to that. Living on campus and housing, I think is really helpful because you'll be with other freshmen who are kind of in the same boat as you. They're not really familiar with where things are or how college kind of functions, yet they don't have a routine so kind of.
Helps you build a routine with them being involved in things and you don't need to on your first day. Sign up for 10 clubs. That's not what I'm suggesting. In fact, my first quarter I didn't really get involved in very much 'cause I was still trying to get my tone and figure out what I even wanted to be apart of. But don't be afraid to get involved in things as a freshman. So kind of exploring what were things that you did in high school that you really enjoyed? For example, I was an editor on the newspaper so I've looked into writing for the newspaper at UC Davis and I did and I actually became an editor.
Trista Galli
06:31:21 PM
How do we go about pursuing a double major?
And I got to learn a lot and it was actually a job as well. So I got paid, made some money.
Really built up my resume. Help me get that internship I mentioned earlier and that was something I just kind of put myself out there and applied to being a writer. So I think a lot of things are like that and that's How I Met. That's how I kind of created my initial frame group on campus in How I Met people. And then I met people they knew and I went from there. So just getting involved in something not being afraid to introduce yourself. That's a really big part of it.
Almira Anjem Ilagan
06:32:13 PM
Can you outline what orientation will look like?
Opportunities out there for students majoring communication. OK, so I was a communication major. The cool thing about communication is it's very broad and there a lot of different things that students can get involved in. So communication and Davis is much. It's basically a mix of psychology and sociology. There's a philosophy in there and it's a very theoretical approach of just how people communicate with one another. If you're looking for media specific things, we do have our newspaper which is really awesome.
Leticia Garay
06:32:48 PM
Annette- research & internship opportunities can be found via professors, centers (like our Center for Neuroscience), or even through Handshake. For our students pursing medicine, we have our medical school! You can also reach out to our Research Center who will help you get grants to present your research nationally and even get your work published.
Hum, I really love being a part of that being a writer and editor, we have our radio station. I believe there is a magazine as well. And then there's a lot of internships that you can be a part of that are going to help you give you that experience as well. So lots of different avenues to get involved with media related things. If you're looking at communications in terms of media in terms of communication singular like the major, literally everything is going to be at your disposal. So one of my.
Uh, one of my I know someone who was an alumni. She worked for the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco and she managed PR and social media for them, which then helps her springboard into her job. The first job that she got when she graduated and show she was working with social media with them, so you never know where things can pop up. The internship Career Center can help you as well. Opportunities are really endless for that.

Are the dorms for freshman typically doubles or tripes?
So it looks like we have a question about pursuing a double major. It really depends on the two major looking to do for example, it's not uncommon for students to do like aerospace in mechanical engineering double major. It's also common for students to do something like communication and another social science or kind of Art Humanities. Those are pretty those all go together really well. If you want to do something like biological science and civil engineering. They're going to have a lot of separate a lot of requirements and there's not going to be a lot of overlap so.

Do international students qualify for Scholarships and would that be a part of personalised financial plan
Leticia Garay
06:34:15 PM
A lot of our students also find opportunities just by word of mouth. I found out about my Neurobiolgy lab internship from a classmate. People are very friendly and more than happy to share their experiences.
They may take additional time. Just keep in mind you're going to be having to fulfill as a double major going to fulfill two major checklist instead of just one. So as long as you know in the very beginning which your majors are going to be and then going from there, that's when I would usually advise students to also look into getting a minor so you can add multiple minors. Many students do double major, I just want you to understand what that would entail so you'll have to fill fill just the major requirements for two majors. So if you start super late in the game.
You may just prolonged amount of time your Adidas.
Are the dorms typically for freshman doubles or triples? So it varies? So we've got singles, doubles, and triples. You'll input all your preferences in your housing application. I know they've been building a lot of different residence halls, and I don't know the exact occupancy for those rooms, so it really varies. I know they offer all kinds of different options, so you just have to indicate what you're looking for in your housing application. You can see photos of what those look like. Last time I checked on the housing website and they should be able to help you kind of get a better feel for what that looks like.
Already have students asking about appliances in that door in the residence halls. They need their own iron ironing board. Yes, you only drone iron and Ironing Ironing Board.
They should. I believe they provide. I don't want to say that, so I would advise you to reach out to housing when you submit your application. They may get more information that way. They do not provide an iron ore ironing board. I know that so you will need to bring your own. I personally it is a steamer. It takes up a little bit less space, but an iron is something you can also provide.
You may be able to use a desk for your ironing, but I'm not sure.
Do we have any other questions? See, we still have a bunch of folks in our.
Our budget guess looks like we have another question. Not pursuing a double major, so you came in with.
Isaac Ing
06:35:55 PM

Hello Pranav - We do have some international scholarships. We recommend you check your myadmissions to see if you received one of those scholarships.
If our picnic day it is a massive event, we have thousands of people come to town every year to be apart of it. Alumni alot of it as alumni but also people from nearby that just know that picnic day is so much fun. We've been celebrating picnic day for over 100 years. It's basically a showcase of what Davis is about. An students really get involved so we have our our docs in Derby which is a Weiner dog race which I don't know if you've ever seen one. But it's absolutely hilarious. We have a lot of animals are involved so you can pet cows. I held a check one year.

how likely is it to get a single dorm and would it be recommended to get a single as a freshman?
We have all kinds of really fun activities on picnic day and like I said, thousands of people are involved. We have hundreds of different boots in activities all around campus and it's mostly run, programmed, planned by students. So that's just adds to how awesome it is.
We also have pajama Reno, which a lot of students dress up in pajamas, and it's just a really fun, but as well. I'm trying to think of some other fun traditions that we have.
Let's see, is there anything else that I'm missing? Primarina is a big one.

How does registration for classes work?
I think those are the two that I would probably say in the biggest ones. As soon as asking how likely is it get a single door man would be recommended to get a single as a freshman. My advice is to consider your needs, but I thought that I learned a lot from living with a roommate and I thought it was really healthy for me to have another person there. So it's up to you. I don't know the exact number of single dorms versus doubles and triples.

Veronica Zendejas
06:38:11 PM
Hello Kathia- As of today I would say that the STEP program will still be happening this summer. However as soon as we know more we will be reaching out to students to provide more info.
If you need a single dorm for a specific reason, you can likely indicate on the housing sheets or talk to housing about those accommodations. Most folks will live with a roommate, potentially two. If you're in a triple, and honestly, a lot of times it may not be that exact roommate. Maybe someone that you know from on that same like a neighbor or that haul, but those are going to make some really fast and lifelong friends, so don't be a scared of having a roommate. That was one of my favorite things about living in college.

How's the dining hall food?
Um how does registration for classes work so we're just gonna be part of orientation so once you sign up for that there's like a course that you'll take kind of online course and it will help you schedule and that once you do that will help you schedule an appointment with an advisor who will help you register for classes. Once you've done that first initial registration will register for classes. I think engineering has its own kind of process you meet with an adviser fairly regularly to make sure you're on track to graduate in time just because engineering has a lot of specific courses. You have to take in a specific order.
But in terms of most majors, for example as a communication major, I was able to pretty easily.

What is the process for the English placement test? Can we complete it earlier (before the letter is sent out)?
Leticia Garay
06:39:39 PM
You do not have to be majoring in the same discipline to do an internship. However, some internships may require that you take certain courses in order to have some foundation knowledge to help you be successful in the internship.
Sign up for classes and I was able to kind of make my own schedule, so it's like I don't want to take a class at 8:00 am I don't want to take a class on, you know, and this whatever, so I was able to kind of make those decisions for myself and you'll get what's called a pastime. So based on your standing. So for example, seniors, students with senior standing will sign up for classes before juniors before sophomore freshman. And that's just to ensure that the students that are closer to graduating get the course they need to graduate in time. So there's a pass one. And there's a unit cap on that, and then you'll get past two.

How accessible are advisors on campus? Academic advisors, internship advisors, etc.
Which is a second opportunity to sign up for additional courses that you didn't get them the first time. Don't worry too much about the registration process, you learn very quickly and you have lots of resources to help you navigate that process. Question, not dining Hall food, so we call the dining Commons or DCS I loved eating at the dining Commons. I actually had a meal plan. Most students only have the meal plan when they live on campus that first year I had a meal plan for years because I always wanted to live on campus and I definitely had a handful of friends that.

06:40:47 PM
Trista- the English placement exam is usually held in May. There are other ways to met the requirement but the exam is required of all freshmen.
Always hung out with me because they knew that I would swipe them into the dining comments, so we loved eating there. There's all kinds of different foods. They have waffle makers and self serve ice cream. They always have cereal. They have really good burgers and fries. We always look forward to when they had this cheesy bread so the dining Hall is the dining Commons are really, really awesome to eat at so you will not get tired of it. I really loved eating there and I miss it to this day we ate there the other day with our office and we were like all reminiscing about how good the food was so.

06:41:02 PM
Do you know what next steps look like for EOPS students? Was trying to do some research, but I wasn't sure if I needed to do something to confirm my participation. That might be something I ask them directly, though!
OK, we have a question about how accessible advisors are on campus. I'm assuming academic, oh, you, have you so academic advisors? You will just set up appointments for them. It really varies. 'cause we do. A lot of our academic advising by college. So different colleges kind of different processes. Ultimately you can create appointment. They also have walk in advising. There's also peer advisors that can help you. So in terms of academic advisors, you will likely.
You likely won't need them, as despite how accessible they are, I think a lot of times you'll be able to kind of manage on your own, but they're always available if you need them, so I wouldn't stress too much about having access to them Intership Advisors. I don't. It really depends on what you're looking for. I know in our College of Biological Sciences we have specific health career related advisors that can help make sure you're taking the right courses for meds to qualify for Med School. You're getting your emcat's taking care of their specific internships for students in the health field.
Leticia Garay
06:41:59 PM
Trista- Please work with EOPS in regards to next steps. Their contact information should be on your MyAdmissions page. :)
I know those and they have pure advisors, so you'll be dialed in if that's something you're looking to do. We have a lot of students that are trying to go to Med school and do things like that for College of Biological Sciences will set you up and then our internship and Career Center has ample resources. They have different like webinars in different courses, different advising opportunities, so you'll have access to them.

06:42:45 PM
When do we sign up for classes?
Uh, another question about orientation and classes, yet so you'll do a virtual meeting with an advisor to schedule your classes during. I'm going to put air quotes around orientation because you're not going to do it. 'cause orientation like the traditional orientation is going to be when you're already on campus when you move in, so you're going to do your intro online course before you get to campus. You're going to schedule and work with your advisor before you get to campus and have your classes registered before you get to campus. You're going to then move in and do all your orientation activities.
Tania Beringer

Thank You Veronica
On your my admissions pace, once you submit your essay are you can see all the details there and it'll give you more information on orientation. You can also check out the website. I'm confident you'll be able to reach out to someone from orientation and talk to them. If you have any questions. Anything is not working out.
Um oh, this is a very broad question. What do you think makes you see Davis different from other U CS uhm.
I'm going to start this off by saying every UC has something to offer. Every you see has different strengths and we all work together. We're all sister campuses. I will not say anything bad about another. You see in terms of Davis, I felt that there was just this sense of camaraderie when I stepped on the campus. When I talk to its alumni, when I talk to its current students, when I talk to its staff and its faculty, I just didn't feel like I could get it at any other campus. I just felt so included. I felt really welcomed. I felt that I was a part of it without having to really.
Fight to find a place for myself. It was very easy for me to be involved at UC Davis. There are so many opportunities and there's so much respect for whatever your interests are, whether there are similar or different to the person next to you. I thought that all kind of came together to really give you this awesome chill vibe while also challenging me to be the best that I could be and challenging me to take advantage of opportunities in front of me. So I know that is not I mean, there's a lot of concrete examples like you see.
Davis has these incredible agriculture programs and we have all these incredible. You know, there's concrete things that you could say such Davis apart, but I think for me it was more this like welcoming camaraderie. Feel that really drove it home for me and really made me say yes.
Veronica Zendejas

06:44:40 PM
Does UC Davis have a summer transition program?
So I think I missed a couple questions. OK, So what year can you apply for internships and research? There's no requirements. Specific positions may have, like certain qualifications. They're looking for like they may require you to have taken a bio course, or they may require you to have to be a junior or whatever. I'm not really sure. They're all going to vary, but I'm confident you can get involved pretty early on. I know my sophomore year one of my peers was in the plan biology major.
Saanika Joshi
06:45:23 PM
are there pre-med advisors?
Jeetu Sujith
06:45:31 PM
How to find out registration for courses for Pre-Med ?
And she really liked it. One of her professors was doing as to be involved in his research and they said yes. So as a sophomore, she was involved in research because she had the guts to ask. So do keep in mind being it used to school means that we are a research institution and there's a lot of research happening all over the place on our campus near our campus. So I don't think there are any requirements for when you can get involved. It's just about asking and not being afraid of someone says no, but also thinking like maybe they're going to say yes, right? So you never know.
Uh, so it's going to be positioned specific.
So double major question. If you have to apply for those, OK, so usually will happen is you'll have the major that you came in with. If you want to change it you have to submit paperwork and if you're changing from one college to another it could be a little bit more paperwork and it has to get approved.
Orli Algranatti
06:46:08 PM
Which residence hall is the most modern? And which is the closest to the Animal Science classes?
I never applied for a secondary major, so likely will have to do is. You'll just submit a petition for it.
I'll go through kind of the Deans Office and or the department's office, and they kind of work with them, so that will be something will work with academic advisors about, and if it's within a college, you can probably use similar advisors. If it's a different college different advisor.
Sai Priyanka Iragavarapu
06:46:28 PM
What are some popular places to hang out on campus or in Davis?
Find out about registration for course. For premed, oh, we have a pretty my question, so students that are pre Med so we don't have a premed major but you will do as you will major in something likely in the Biological Sciences field that will fulfill a lot of the requirements from Med School, Bio, Chem, Physics, Math.
Leticia Garay
06:46:54 PM
Morgan- We have our STEP program: https://opportunity.ucdavis.edu/programs/step
Catrina Sengsourinho
06:47:17 PM
Where can we access these recorded webinars later? A lot of other students are having trouble accessing the link
And what you'll do is so, like I mentioned earlier, just like registration. So you'll work with your advisor registration. They're going to help you make sure you're taking the right classes and then from there you can either continue to meet with your advisor, or you can work on chronic creating a plans that you know what to register for the next quarter. We do have premed specific advisors in the College of bioscience know there's a specific unit with Peer Advisors, and things that works with those students to make sure they have everything they need for pre Med.
And then our internship Career Center has separate internships in advising for that as well. So lots of pre Med and like I said, Health Science related specific resources for you.
Which residence Hall is the most modern? Love it? OK, uhm. So we have a lot of actually most residence halls if they're not brand new. We just renovated the mall so I think.
There's new, there's new residence halls in all of our different areas, so we have tercero segundo and cuarto tercero.
Trista Galli
06:48:05 PM
When do you meet with your counselor? I have been taking college classes towards my major the last few years and just want to make sure my credits transfer over. They are all transferable courses
Rahul Dodda
06:48:20 PM
If you want to double major in a field that is kinda competitive, do you have to apply or can you just take the classes for that secondary major?
Has the most knew residence halls. I would say Corcho just put up a brand new one as well. I believe they have the sweet style over in quarto versus Tresero is a much more traditional looking style and if you're looking for what's near the animal science most the time science related is going to be true sero so keep in mind though, they're all very close to each other so segundo is really close to MU.
Trystero is farther down the South side of campus, and that's going to be closer to the science buildings and then quarto has a little bit is right at the North side of campus. You're right next to the Trader Joe's up there. It's still on campus, so it's right across the street. And then it's right there. So if you look at a map you can see where each of the different sections are. You cannot go wrong with any of the sections, but if you're looking for quote unquote, most modern stereo probably has the most newest dorms. And then court has a brand new one as well.
But I lived in segundo and I love the location. So like I said, You can't go wrong.

Oh, you have a question. OK, so we have a question, my advisers, but the students took college classes towards our major and they want to make sure their college transfer over there all transferable. So when you work with your so as part of orientation when you meet with your advisor, you can talk to me about those courses. And if you're ready to go to whatever course you would be lined up for next, you can go ahead and go with that one.
Alrighty, so do we choose where do we get to choose where we live, uhm?
Trista Galli
06:49:45 PM
I'm looking to do Political Science - Public Service and Sociology. Do you meet with a counselor to discuss with them?
In the housing application, you'll submit your preferences and our housing folks will do their best to give you your top choices. But you'll basically rank all the different options. So you will be taking your preferences into consideration. I say we Davis will be taking your references into consideration when we assign housing, but there is no guarantee and like I said, keep in mind, all options are great, so you can't really go wrong. We have some really awesome options for you.
Looks like we have a question about a student wanting to do political science and sociology. If you want to meet with accounts are so whatever makes you came in with their going to set you up to work towards that and what you'll do is, you'll also kind of work then to talk about your requirements for sociology. Keep in mind your first year you're going to be taking a lot of Gen Ed courses and potentially prerequisites for upper division courses. Statistics will likely be one. Introduce so shintre decyk things like that. You're going to be taking those, and those are going to contribute to your general.
Leticia Garay
06:50:47 PM
Rahul- We allow students to take courses outside of their major to foster different interests! However, depending on the double major you are choosing, you may have to wait until after the people officially in the major have registered before you can register for those courses. If you are interested in a double major, it is highly recommended you talk to that major's adviser to best plan your courses.
And as well as any prerequisites so you can start getting into this upper division courses end of sophomore year and moving forward. So yes, you're going to be working on major coursework from the beginning, but it may be prerequisites. It maybe like I said, introduce statistics. You will likely need to take that course, even though it doesn't seem that you're going to be in your major. That's definitely a major course, so keep that in mind. Going to be taking a lot, of course is that maybe aren't in your major. That was one of my favorite things about Davis was taking classes like human sexuality and nutrition and tractor driving.

Do you have to be an Animal Science major to apply for the Animal Science internship, such as the mare and foal one?
An creative writing courses. There's a lot of different unique things that you'll get to learn. Some will be in your major, some will be for GS, so keep that in mind. That's going to be a lot of your freshman year.

Do you recommend that we bring a lot of quarters? I heard that things like washing machines cost money
Um, we have a question about um, oh, are you talking about that? So the question is, do you have to be an animal science major to apply for the animal science internship such as the mayor and full one? So if you're talking about the barn residence program, as far as I know you do not.
In terms of, uh, specific internship, you'll want to look at the position description and see what it requires of you, so it may vary.

What are some popular places to hang out on campus or in Davis?
Jeffrey Lee

How many AP credits are transferrable?
Student asked if they, uh, students asking if we recommend bringing quarters for washing machines. Things like that. Uhm, it depends on where you live. I think a majority of the residence halls have converted to using cards, if it might even be your student ID card. Now I have to double check. I think I said things are constantly changing. That would be a housing question, but I I wouldn't worry too much about bringing a bunch of quarters at this time.
I think you'll be OK once you get here, they'll make sure you have everything you need. Once you submitted your essay are an you call your housing information. They're going to start sending you more information out things you need, things you should not bring, things that you may want to have, so they're going to help you along the way so things will be coming to you slowly as we get closer and closer to move in.

Is there a health center on campus in case we get sick? And is it included in our tuition?
What are some popular places to hang out on campus? Are in Davis awesome. So the quad is as long as the weather is nice. Students are always laying out in the quad, sitting in the hammocks, studying, enjoying the shade of the trees or tanning, whatever next to. That's going to be our memorial union. That is where we have our main coffee house. So that's a great place for students to kind of post up and study and things like that. We have the silo which is on the South side of campus. We have various different residence halls and lab buildings where there are little pockets of places to study.
For students to just kind of hang out in between classes, things like that.
Obviously the residence halls are places for students to hang out.

Yes! We have our Student Health and Wellness Center where you can take free cooking classes, see a dr, pick up prescriptions, and take advantage of our massage chairs!
In terms of downtown Davis, are farmers market is in a really fun place or Wednesday evening farmers market has live music. The community is all involved, so there's lots of fun stuff too. It's really fun atmosphere to be involved with. We also have various coffee shops in really good eateries downtown. We have a bike museum which I don't know if you're going to hang out there, but it's a really cool perk of being in downtown Davis, and those are kind of the main hubs of where students congregate on campus. And then in the downtown area, downtown is going to be where the most of the hustle and bustle is. We do have different areas that.
A little bit more residential throughout Davis, but the downtown area is going to be mostly like commercials. You can have all your different eateries and businesses and things right in that heart. Which is right next to the campus, which is really nice.

When are we able to declare a major for those of us currently undeclared?
Leticia Garay
06:54:51 PM
Health insurance is included in your fees however, if you have an equivalent insurance, you can waive out of our insurance (SHIP) but still use the center for things like prescription pick up, etc
So students asking about current Hall, so that's going to be Inter sero so I mentioned terceros on the South side of campus, close to kind of that's kind of where a lot of the science and engineering buildings are all over. Housing areas are going to have similar resources, so they're going to have kind of their main housing area. They're going to have computer access, are going to have. You can have free access to getting different like kitchen supplies and games and things like that. They're all going to have resident Advisors to help you. They're all going to have study lounges and kitchens.
The environment so tresero is actually.
I have a picture of it in here.
His sister Sero. I believe this is the true Sarah Housing area you can see on the.
So that's kind of the vibe. A lot of our newer residence halls. So the brand new construction ones, they all have kind of the same look. So if you're talking about the environment in the field, they're all going to kind of feel like this. I guess I encourage you to look at a map to get a better feel for what they look like, but living in one housing area verse another, you're not going to have better or worse resources. They make sure that all three housing areas offer students the same thing. It's going to come down to preference and the main difference is going to be the location. So if you like the North Central or South side of campus.
If you like, um, the style which is going to be the sweet style versus the more traditional style, and I think those are the main difference is you're going to experience, so don't get too caught up on the differences 'cause you're going to have all the same resources.
So students are asking for those who are undeclared. Are we able to declare a major? Or when are you able to declare a mage?

How strong are internship opportunities for CS students near Davis? I heard that Davis being a college town affects that a bit.
I I believe, UM, once you've been at the campus for one.

I am in Running Start program, Is there a link to see what courses can transfer to UCDavis from other colleges?
Samantha Mcclure
06:56:38 PM
I came in late because my link wasn't working. Was roommate selection already talked about?
Quarter and you're in good standing. You will submit kind of your petition for declaring a major, so you'll work with your advisors, the Deans office in the college to get that major selected, and you can take a little bit of time if you need to. If you know what you want to do, that's great, but if there's a chance you could change it just to avoid more paperwork, take some time. Take a couple of quarters, take some unique classes before you decide to declare something.

Hi Daniel! Thanks for joining us from WA! Please email me at lvgaray@ucdavis.edu
So how strong are internship opportunities for computer science students near Davis? I heard the Davis being a college town can affect that a bit. So keep in mind, yes. So Davis is a little bit of a smaller town, but we are not that far from Silicon Valley in the Bay Area and a lot of time students will do internships over summer, so they're not that far away.

06:57:31 PM
Thank you!
You can get opportunities working pretty close by. It looks like Intel has some opportunities as well, so that's something that you want to look at. The internship Career Center opportunities. I wouldn't say that we don't have anything for you because we're a smaller town. I do want to call to action the point that we are pretty close to things. Like I said, Silicon Valley etc. But you don't have to go that far necessarily. There's a lot of different options, so the intership Career Center is going to be your best resource to help you with that. I don't have any other specifics unfortunately, but I'm confident you're going to have everything that you need.

How competitive is getting the housing we want? Is there a demand for a certain location more than the others?
Sukanya Chandrasekaran
06:57:47 PM
Do you recommend to take AP exams?
It looks like we have a someone's asking again out roommate selection. It looks like they use Facebook. That was kind of the information that we receive from them and.
Yeah, so you Facebook. You can also if you know someone you can request them. Just make sure that your housing preferences on your application match.
And then there's another question about getting the. The preferred housing. Is there a demand for a certain location?
I'm not sure. I think it changes year to year, um, and because there is a lot of different.
Leticia Garay
06:58:45 PM
We recommend students take AP exams as that gives you units and, potentially, courses
I'm not sure what the current demand is because I believe it changes depending on 'cause. When I was a student I can't imagine it was exactly the same, and like I said, so I had a lot of different peers from my high school going to do this and they all wanted different things so I knew I wanted one of my really good friends was like oh, I want to live in this place 'cause I like this and I said I like this because of this. So it's really. It's a personal choice. There isn't. Oh obviously this ones knew this ones better. That's not really how it works.
Housing does a really nice job of making sure all housing areas are updated their fresh. They have all the same resources, so again, it's really going to come down to what style do you like and what location is going to work best for you. They're not that far apart though, so it's not going to be the end of the world if one if you get one over the other. As far as I know, they do a pretty good job of giving students are there.
Some most of their top references though.

Alrighty, we found a lot crashed out housing and guys by a completely understand that. Uhm, so that's something we will keep in mind. Will look into getting more information about housing for you so it'll be easier for you to kind of make that decision so you know what you're moving into. I will tell you, as someone who did live in residence halls absolutely loved living on campus. I wanted to live on campus after my first year as well because it was such a great experience for me and.
The, UM, I'm still best friends with someone that I met my freshman year, so uhm, I hope that you're excited about housing and not too stressed. We have really great options. The food is really good, the accommodations are really good, so that's something for you guys to look forward to. I think that was our last question. Thank you guys so much. Wow, this has been a really great hour.
