How should I present myself as there aren't too many extracurricular due to COVID-19?
Eshika Jaini
04:05:44 PM
hi
Alright, well Leticia is looking, you see Davis. She is also a UC Davis alumni so keep an eye out in the chat for her and Chrissy. They will be moderating the chat, so let's go ahead and get started. So some housekeeping roles. So this is slate. It is and you kind of platform for a lot of us. So if you haven't used it yet, it is going to be recorded you so you will have access to the recording afterwards. An email will be sent to you so you don't have to worry about taking too many notes, taking screenshots. All of that you will have access to this recording.
Christy Blaine
04:06:26 PM
The presentation will cover how to present yourself on the application due to COVID-19.
There is a closed captioning option on the top right of your corner. It says see see the closed captioning will show in your chat OK and last but not least, I don't know if some of you have noticed. When you do type in the chat it doesn't show up right away, so this is a moderated chat. There is a lot of you in the chat right now, it is just me presenting with my two colleagues, christiane Letitia, in the chat, so please bear with us as we tried to get through all of your questions. We will do our best to respond to all of your questions an if we don't get to it.
Please don't worry, you will have access to my email at the very end. So if you have a more personal question you can always email me individually all right and I will stop in between some sections of this presentation to escalate ecn Christy, if there's some questions that I need to answer out loud for the rest of you, so don't worry, there will be plenty of time. I am trying to keep this presentation about 30 ish no more than 45 minutes, so there's plenty of time for questions for you, so let's go ahead and get started.
04:07:02 PM
how does the admission process work if there is no SAT/ACT score ?
Abhinav Hemmady
04:07:08 PM
Hello
So today's presentation is about the UC application. I will be going over it. It is 1 application for all you sees. It is for primarily. This is geared toward seniors right now 'cause you all are working on it. However, if you are a junior sophomore or even a freshman, it's just good to know what it looks like. So this is what the UC application looks like when you will be applying. You will see that there are little boxes next to the UC's. There are nine campuses that you students will be applying.
In two, one of many hopefully and UC Davis is the northernmost UC with UC San Diego. As a southernmost you see, so you will just check which boxes you would like to have your UC application sent to. There is a fee associated to each application, so again, be mindful of that. There is a built-in fever waiver, which is what I will talk about in the next slide so you can get up to four applications waived for free. But again, it's one application for all uses.
Christy Blaine
04:08:09 PM
Test Scores- this will be answered in the presentation. Thank you
We read the exact same thing, so whatever you respond in your PIQ's in your extracurriculars, we're reading all the same thing. We all do. Our admission evaluations independently of each other, so I don't call you see Berkeley or UC Merced and say, hey, what about this student? We don't do that, so we all do an individual evaluation of your application when it gets sent to all of our campuses.
04:08:32 PM
Your reaction/thoughts to today's court ruling about standardized tests?: https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/01/us/university-of-california-sat-act-trnd/index.html
04:08:36 PM
Does UC in general give any consideration to dependents of current UC employees
Christy Blaine
04:08:49 PM
Yes, we will cover the court ruling as well in the presentation. Thank you
So again, this is what the UC application looks like in the very beginning. I'm going to go kind of almost step by step by what the UC application is going to look like. I will go over the extracurriculars. Some of the peak use, and I know there's probably a lot of questions about the test scores and standardized testing, so we will go over it very briefly so the application timeline. Did you know seniors that you see application is open right now? Can you believe that? I can't believe it's September 2nd already.
Pooja Rayanki
04:09:10 PM
will we able to access these slides?
I feel like we're kind of in a time warp where it's already September, but it feels like we're still in March. I don't know if anyone else feels that way. You can go ahead and say, Yeah, it does, but the UC application is open right now so students seniors, especially if you have not started it. I recommend just opening it up, putting the basic information, looking at what it looks like inside. I'm going to give you a snippet of what it actually looks like in the UC application. Leave it alone for a week or two and then come back to it. The UC application you do not submit it until.
Christy Blaine
04:09:28 PM
Yes, the presentation will be available after the presentation this evening.
Leticia Garay
04:09:43 PM
There is no "legacy" for students of UC alum or UC employees. All students will be reviewed using the same process.
November 1st, so you can work on it right now, but you do not submit until November 1st or the 30th. I know some parents and families and students ask, does it matter if I submit it the 1st the 15th of November the 20th to 30th? It doesn't matter when you submit it, we just need to make sure you have your application in by November 30th at 11:59. OK, December 1st hits. You cannot submit your UC application. So notifications do come out between February and March by the end of March.
All you see notifications will be released for freshman students have until May 1st to let us know if they will be accepting their admission to the UC system and then weightless. Administer admission notifications usually come out towards the mid and of Mehanna sometimes all the way through June, so that's just kind of the timeline of what to expect.
Aditya Rao
04:10:33 PM
Is it reccomended to do the SAT essay?
So before you get started, consider the major an campus options. We have 9 great options for you. Each of our campuses are very different, where in different locations we have different majors. But we also have very similar major, so it's important to figure out where you see yourself for the next four years. Do we have the major that you want? Are there clubs? Are there sports? Are there? Is there research that's happening that you're really interested in? Those are things that you should consider when you are applying it to the UC system. Please make sure you have a copy of your unofficial transcript or you work with your college counselor.
Christy Blaine
04:10:57 PM
We will cover SAT/ACT exams further into the presentation. Thank you
04:11:14 PM
Is PSAT important for students to take and why?
04:11:18 PM
I have a question on when we can file for Spring semester.
Or at your high school or high school counselor to make sure that you have a copy of your unofficial transcript, we want to make sure you're in putting the right courses with the right grades. Right now is prime time to work on your personal insight questions. If you haven't started it yet, the questions haven't changed. They're not going to change for junior sophomores and freshmen, so please make sure. Take a peek at it again, freshman incoming or seniors right now you have time to write them, but right now is a good time to really get them bullet pointed. Start writing.
Get some drafts going and then create an outline. Some of you might have a resume already. Some of you might have a Journal that has all the activities awards your volunteer experiences in there. If you haven't started that yet, start wrecking your brain and trying to figure out what you've done these last four years in high school. If you are, you know a freshman sophomore, junior. This is a time to really start that kind of document to keep track of what you been doing during your high school career.
Leticia Garay
04:12:01 PM
PSAT is prep for SAT exams however, for UCD, SAT test scores submitted by applicants will not be used in the comprehensive application review process. We will cover more on SAT/ ACT later in the presentation.
Shenxinxuan Han
04:12:08 PM
Will it be an advantage if you submit it early?
Christy Blaine
04:12:20 PM
UC Davis only allows student to submit their application during the fall. The application is available from August - November 30th. The application deadline is November 30th.
Some important and accurate details, right? So it's very, very important that you, to the best of your ability, fill out the UC application as truthfully as possible. There is going to be a statement of application integrity that you will be signing so you are sending that whatever you submit to the UC system is honest and truthful. Your academic history again, use your unofficial transcript. If you have questions you can always contact me. Contact definitely your school counselor 'cause they definitely can help you with that.
Your activities and awards again.
Leticia Garay
04:12:33 PM
There is no advantage to submitting the UC application earlier other than peace of mind on your end. :)
04:12:51 PM
Sorry, did Melanie say that the Personal Insight Questions will not change for class of 2022?
Nadya Svidzerskaya
04:12:58 PM
Do UCs offer merit scholarships?
Report it as what you were participating in your personal insight questions, right it? We want to hear your voice. I know that sounds a little crazy and you're probably wondering how does the UC know? It's me writing it. I can promise you Christy Laticia Nyana Team of many others read thousands of applications each and every year so we can tell when a student is being truthful and honest in their response. No need to impress us. I'll go into a little bit more detail later on. And then there is a possibility of a verification at the end when you are admitted into the UC system. So at the end when you are admitted to the.
Christy Blaine
04:13:07 PM
PIQ questions will not change for 2021 and 2022.
The system you said yes to us. The office of the president could ask you to verify your transcripts could verify your extracurriculars. So, again, just make sure you are stating everything truthful and honest in your application.
04:13:33 PM
Do personal Insight questions remain the same every year?
04:13:37 PM
This is for transfer application.
Leticia Garay
04:13:37 PM
Your UC app is also your scholarship app for UC so there will be a section where you "apply" to all scholarships that are applicable to you, including merit based scholarships available by campus.
So before you get started, this is actually on the UC application website, So what to expect? This is about you. We want to learn about you the student. OK, take your time with it. That's why I say even though it's not due until November. Open it up right now, fill out the basic information, see what it looks like. Leave it alone. Come back to it. Fill out maybe the activities and awards section. Leave it alone. Come back and work on their personal insight questions. Leave it alone, whatever it is. Just again to keep it up to date. I know this year is not like very many other years. It's very different.
Christy Blaine
04:13:56 PM
There is one UC Application for both Freshman and Transfer applicants.
Rachel Xalxo
04:14:00 PM
Do alumi student have a higher chance of getting in?
Leticia Garay
04:14:23 PM
There is no "legacy" for students of UC alum or UC employees. All students will be reviewed using the same process.
So we just want to make sure that you are progressing through it very, very thoroughly and thoughtfully. Parents or guardians, if you're in here, there is a section for you that you might want to help your student with, so there is a household income and family information. You are more than welcome to fill it out, but you don't have to. It's not required if you want to be considered for the application fee waiver. You, however, do have to submit the household income and family size.
04:14:29 PM
can a junior download the application?
04:14:37 PM
Do we have to write extra essays if we want to apply to multiple UCs?
04:14:46 PM
Will the chat transcripts be posted when you share the recordings, so the questions asked and answers provided are available for later review?
OK, so if you want to qualify for the fee waiver, you do have to fill out family size and income. Otherwise again, it's not a requirement to do that. And again for seniors, if you haven't seen the IQ questions yet, the personal insight questions go ahead and have emailed questions to yourself so you can start thinking about it. An start bullet pointing and writing some rough drafts.

04:15:09 PM
where can we find the information about available majors?
Christy Blaine
04:15:12 PM
The chat questions will not be available after the presentation. Only the presentation will be available.
04:15:17 PM
When can we file for Spring Semester transfer?
So the requirements I know this has changed this year and like I said, I know there's a lot of questions about test scores. I have a specific slide for it, but the requirements this year is your A through G subjects, right? I know seniors this has been drilled in your head. I know parents and Guardians. This might have been might be new information, but I know a lot of the times it your schools do such a good job of letting you know what the user requirements are off the bat. So it's your English class. Your math class is your visual and performing arts, right? So those are your A through G subjects. There is the minimum.
04:15:23 PM
Will there be changes in how APs are evaluated. ? Does UC Scout coursework count? How do online coursework accredited work
But we of course want students to go above and beyond the.
Leticia Garay
04:15:43 PM
You can visit each UC campus's website but you will be able to see all the majors per campus on the app too. UCD's majors: https://www.ucdavis.edu/majors
Christy Blaine
04:15:49 PM
There are approved A-G courses on UC Scout. You will list these courses from UC Scout on your UC Application.
Years that are required or going above the recommended so GPA for California residents, the minimum GPA for the UC is at 3.0. However, you all know that the you see is very competitive, so we want students to do the best that they can and that is the best that they can do right. We also know students are more than just numbers. You are more than just your GPA. You are more than just a test score for non residents. We do. The minimum GPA is a 3.4.
Abhinav Hemmady
04:15:56 PM
Are the requirements different in terms for applications for all the UCs?
So for the GPA we calculate the summer after 9th grade.
Leticia Garay
04:16:23 PM
All UC campuses have the same minimum admission requirements however, each campus selects differently.
10th grade, 11th grade and then the summer after 11th grade. If they took any summer courses then that is a GPA that we will consider. I know there is a lot of school districts that went to pass, no pass force for spring term past. No pass does not affect their GP at all. Again, pass no pass does not affect GPA so whatever their GPA was at the end of fall, that's what their GPA is and then we'll see that they passed.
Or maybe didn't pass their courses in this spring, so again, GPA is summer after 9th grade, 10th grade, 11th grade and then summer after 11th grade senior year. We will see the classes that you're enrolled in. However you submit the UC application before final grades come out in December.
Aadip Khanal
04:17:13 PM
Are online classes from accredited schools valued as much as in-person classes?
So the comprehensive review the UC system, all nine campuses, we do a comprehensive review. So again, there's no single factor that will determine whether or not you will be admitted. It will not only be your GPA, it will not only be a personal insight questions, we look at a variety of things, and some of those things are your academic achievement. Were you able to take any AP or honors courses, some of you might take Community College courses. Some of you might have special talents. Some of you are in highly involved in school. Some of you might have outside responsibilities that.
Leticia Garay
04:17:44 PM
All accredited courses from accredited institutions are valued equally.
Maybe hinder you from participating in a lot of school events, and that's OK. We want to know about that in your UC application, so I'll talk about where you can include that in your UC application. So again, these are just some things that we we look at. Again, you are more than just a number. We want to learn about you in your environment where you live. We all you know live in California, but we experienced it very differently. We're all in this chat in this presentation right now, but we're all going to take something different away from this, and that's.
What makes us all unique and different?
So when you are creating account, I know some of these slides might be very basic, but I really want to make sure that you know what the UC application looks like. So students when you are creating a UC application, please choose an email that you will check after you apply to the UC system. So maybe you have a personal email. Make sure it's hopefully professional and hopefully you check it everyday or at least every other day. Try not to use your parents email This should be your email account that you check if the UC has any.
Nitika Sood
04:18:29 PM
Is any consideration given to siblings as part of admissions process
Christy Blaine
04:18:45 PM
SAT/ACT information will be covered in the presentation slides. Hang Tight.
Bhavya Venkataraghavan
04:18:50 PM
how are teacher recs involved in the application?
Questions for you. We will email you on that email address. OK, sometimes you see emails do come into your junk or trash, so please check your junk Mail as well as 'cause. Again the UC system sometimes end up there. Make sure your password is secure. I know this is the time where you are going to have a lot of passwords. Alot of usernames so please make sure you store them again. You can always reset it. I've done it a couple times on my PC application. I've had to reset it but again this is a time now seniors to really hone in.
What emails you are using and what passwords go to that profile?
So when you are creating your application, majority of you are going to come in for the fall of 2021. You will be coming in as a freshman. So coming right out of high school, even if you took Community College courses, if your concurrent enrollment if you just took one Community College course. If you're graduating, may or June of next year, you will be applying as a freshman OK transfer students it transfer definition. I would say I'm not going to spend too much time on transfer, but.
Christy Blaine
04:19:42 PM
Recommendation letters are NOT part of the UC application. You are not able to upload any additional information into the application.
Leticia Garay
04:19:43 PM
No, each applicant is evaluated based on their own application with no consideration for siblings/ family. We do not see that information.
Rachel Xalxo
04:19:49 PM
what scholarship do UC's offer?
Transfer definition is if a student attends a Community College after they have a tent after they have graduated. OK. So if you graduate in May or June of next year and you attend Foothill or deanza of fall 2021, you would officially be a transfer student. OK, but majority of you in this call I probably might have confused all of you. Christine Leitisha. Let me know if I need to refer back to that, but more majority of you if you graduated fall of June of next year you will be applying for freshman.
Leticia Garay
04:20:16 PM
Scholarships will be listed on the UC app based on the campuses you selected.
So navigating the system, this is what it's going to look like. Your toolbar, you have 7 sections. Your personal information, contact information, citizen in residency, demographics, your background, your household, your parent information and review. So that's all your personal information. OK, I like to tell students to start there and then you can skip around for campus in majors, academic history test scores if you have it again, will go over it activities and awards scholarships and programs and then your personal insight.
Questions. OK, so we're going to go over each section in here.
So the about you section. What's new about this section is that there is a preferred first name in here which is really nice, so some students go by their first name. Great, some students go by their middle names. Some students have a different name that they would like to go by, so there is a preferred name listed on the UC application.
04:21:03 PM
What is the UC application website?
04:21:15 PM
Where can I find the personal insight questions?
We also again like I said if you would like to be considered for the fee waiver, you will have to fill out your family size. An income in here so parents guardians please work with your students when they are filling out this portion of the application. Again not required, but if you do want to be qualified for the fee waiver, this does have to be completed.

04:21:31 PM
what is the process early decision?
So the campuses and majors it will default to the category two categories by colleges. So depending on which you see that you are applying into, it will kind of have a drop down by college. You can search which which major you're interested in.
Leticia Garay
04:21:45 PM
UC does not do early admissions or early decisions.
All well, eight of the UC's will allow you to choose an alternate major. UC Berkeley is the only campus that will not allow you to choose an alternate major. The rest of us will allow you to choose an alternate major.
So like here you can see that there is your selected major. It will tell you if it's a closed major. Majority of them should be open for all of you. I again put an alternate major if you want. I always say it doesn't hurt to put an alternate major. I also get asked does it matter if you come in undeclared? Should you choose a major? Is it easier to get into a specific major at the UC system? Honestly, if you are interested in an area, if you know what major you want to go into, please put that major.
Especially if it's in the College of engineering or anything engineering or anything in the bio realm. OK, put that as your first major and then choose an alternate major. If you absolutely have no idea or you're so you know debating between a couple majors and you want to come in undeclared, that's absolutely fine. It's not easier to come in undeclared. It's not easier to come in under any major that you see. System is very competitive, so if you know your major, put it as put it as your first choice.
04:23:18 PM
Do we have to write extra essays if we want to apply to multiple UCs?
And then put it alternate major if you want to come in undeclared 'cause you're still deciding, come in undeclared. Just make sure to see with how the UC's come in undeclared. Some of us you come in undeclared under a college like the College of letters and science, or you come in undeclared under the UC like UC Santa Barbara. OK, so just be aware of that again. There's no easy way into the UC system, so please again, put a major that you are interested in that you want to go into, but also know within the 1st two years. If you were like.
So I really don't like this major. I'm not passing my classes. Maybe you took a Gen Ed Course and you want to do that as your major. You can always switch your major as long as you talk to a college advisor. OK, so again.
It'll be OK. We're not expecting you to know exactly 120% what you would like to do. I think Christian lettuce and I can say sometimes we wonder what we want to do when we grow up also.
So again, this is what it's going to look like when you are putting your major and then an alternate major. So pretty straightforward, pretty Intuitive.
7th and 8th grade courses. So when you are putting in courses in here, if you took any math courses in seminaries grade, if you took any language other than English in 7th or 7th or 8th grade, this is a place that you will be able to.
To insert them. So if you took like algebra one, if you took Spanish one, if you took geometry, if you took Spanish to whatever it is, this is a place that you will put it. OK, not required. If you did not take any of those courses in seminar, 8th grade absolutely fine. Don't worry about it.
This is a place where you going to put what high school you attend and if you attended one high school, great, that's what you're going to put down here. If you attended 2 high schools, you'll put it all of that information in here as well.
When you are putting your high schools attended, you're going to put your start date and end date. So again, usually start in August, right or sometime September, and then you usually end in May or June, so you'll just put that. You'll also put your grading system and what term you're on majority of you are on a semester system, but some students are on a trimester or quarter system, so just make sure you put if you will be graduating from that high school.
Leticia Garay
04:25:28 PM
There are no supplemental essays on the UC app but after submitting the app, individual campuses may ask for additional information.
So the academic history side. This is where you're going to put your courses in your grades. OK, so you will put grade one and two if you're on the quarter system. If some students only go by a year, so they will put just one grade for that entire year, and that's OK. But majority of you will have two grades for fall and spring.
And that's how you import it. And there is the option for pass or no pass also.
So when you are entering your courses, this is what it's going to look like, right? You're A through G. You'll be able to click it and add your course in there.
04:25:48 PM
Do community college courses count towards GPA
If the course is not listed on there for whatever reason, you'll be able to manually enter that course again. I know this is going to nitty gritty detail, but I promise it will make sense once your student or students when you're actually in here. It will make a lot more sense.
Leticia Garay
04:26:21 PM
Yes, AP/IB/H and/ or college courses will be included in the GPA and may have honors points.
04:26:32 PM
Do you have integrated (BS + MS) engineering program?
Students some of you might have taken concurrent enrollment. Somebody who might be in Middle College. You know some of you might have just taken one class at a Community College. If you did attend a Community College. This is where you're going to put that course. So you're going to most likely put it. You took a course at a California Community College. You'll search for the name and then you'll import your classes that way. So if you took a geometry class, if you took a sign language class, if you took a science class, whatever it is, you're going to put that in this college history. OK, so again, it will make a lot more sense when you're actually in it filling it out.
Leticia Garay
04:26:49 PM
UC Davis does not have an integrated (BS + MS) engineering program.
So one thing that is in the academic history portion that I want to mention is that there is an additional comments area. It is 550 characters. It does include spaces, so again, that is a character. So 550 characters for you to explain anything extra. Maybe your school decided to go with letter grades for spring. Maybe you had to drop an honors or AP class when we went online because whatever the reason is.
04:27:09 PM
My child is doing first year now in a college now for Fall semester. Can we fileva spring semester tranfer for 2020-21?
Maybe you weren't able to take any honor or EP classes because of whatever the reasoning is. OK, so this is a place for you to add in anything extra about your academic history. I believe it's about four to five sentences, again depending on what you write, but it does give us more information about your academic history. If you didn't pass the class. If you commute to school, if you switch schools again, this is a great place to include that it's 550 characters.
Leticia Garay
04:27:39 PM
The transfer route has different admissions requirements so the student must meet those requirements to be considered.
So test scores are actually before I get to test scores. Christy, are there any questions in the chat that I should respond to out loud based on what is what has already been talked about? I know it's been pretty basic, but.
Yes, yes can you hear me?
I can't see your face though.
yeah, we just have several.
Questions from all all areas. So a few of how do you stand out in the UC application?
04:28:02 PM
Where can I find PIQ's?
I will get to that when we get to the PIQ's and the activities that awards. OK? Yeah, thank you.
Leticia Garay
04:28:14 PM
PIQs: https://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/how-to-apply/applying-as-a-freshman/personal-insight-questions.html
Dennis Han
04:28:22 PM
do UC's see freshmen grades
Perfect and then the next one is great, so I just want to cover this quickly so the UC will calculate your grades from the summer after 9th Grade, 10 and 11 and the summer after 11. So 9th grade grades are not factored into the UC GPA and 12th grade grades are not factored into the GPA. Another question, yes, international students can.
Apply, there's no restrictions for international students. OK, and the next one is. Students are asking about majors, so can you change your major? Can you double triple major so little bit majors is you have your first choice, major, you have your alternate major. Yes, on our campus you can change your major. That is an option if you want something like engineering and bio. We'd like you to contact those Department earlier so that the transition is smooth. But yes, you can change your major so.
Leticia Garay
04:29:06 PM
Students are required to submit all grades taken during high school, including 9th grade. However, 9th grade will not be calculated into the GPA.
That's it for now. We will continue back on with the power point. Thank you.
04:29:16 PM
does being a transfer affect your application in any way?
Great thanks ladies. Alright so we're going to go into test scores. I know this has been a hot topic. I also know that we were just provided new information yesterday so I don't know if some of you have heard.
Leticia Garay
04:29:28 PM
The transfer route has different admissions requirements so the student must meet those requirements to be considered.
But there is litigation right now against it. You see that we all should go test blind this year and in future years actually, for the rest of time, however, as of right now, we are in the process of reviewing the recent court ruling with our council, so further communication and information will follow. Once all of that has a curd, so I know that's probably not the answer you want to hear, but we just got this information to us, so we are still awaiting word. Please continue to check.
That you see website Office of the president. You can also email me personally if you want or if you have any questions about that, but we are still awaiting information about that. I will tell you an I'm sure Christine Leitisha can attest to this. Is that if you are unable to secure a spot for an or AC T.
04:30:32 PM
Will the PIQ stay the same for students coming in 2023
That is absolutely fine. OK, we do not want to put yourself in jeopardy of your health of your families health. We do not want you to have to drive one or more hours to find a test spot. We did not want you to have to try and fly to another test spot just to take the SAT or AC T you are more than just your number. OK, so I know it goes back to the question of well then how do I stand out in my UC application where you're going to be able to provide information is in the activities and awards section, which I'll go over in a couple slides.
Leticia Garay
04:31:18 PM
As of now, there are no announced changes being made to the PIQs however, students should check the University of California website to verify this information the closer you get to your application.
And the personal insight questions. OK, so I know we are still awaiting confirmation on what test scores will look like this upcoming fall, but I do want to say if you do not have test scores, that's absolutely fine. You will not be added disadvantage if you were able to take the exam prior to Covid an all of this. Feel free to report your your grades or your exam scores. Feel free to, but it's not required. OK, so please.
Don't feel the pressure to drive to schedule somewhere else. Don't stress about it. OK, there's a lot to stress out already about and this should not be one of those things. OK, and again, I know this is not the answer you would all like to hear, but we are all still awaiting word and communication for it. So please stand by and thank you for for being very kind and understanding about this because as you know 2020 has been a year of rolling with the punches and new information happening almost every hour, every day, every other day.
So just as 2020 has been, we're still going to roll with it and please stand by on the information. Hopefully I'll be able to send an email out to all of you once we get confirmation on that. Thank you.
Subjects subject exams again, this is the year to not stress about it. You will not be added disadvantage to any you see if you do not submit subject exams again, your health and well being of you and your family and your guardians and whoever you live with is more important than a subject exam. OK so again, please do not stress about it. Do not worry about it. Do not think you will not get admitted into UCLA or UC Berkeley because you do not have this. Again, you are more than just.
AP exams, same thing if you were able to take it, great. If you were unable to take it junior year, that's OK. We understand that if you took it and you didn't get the score that you wanted, still report it, we still would like to see that you actually sat for it. You took it online, you study for it. It was just such a such a wild year, right? So we will understand that again.
Renee Ou
04:33:37 PM
if we take a class at community college and have separate GPAs for comm college and HS, how do we. show those on our resume
UCLA UC Berkeley UC Davis we it doesn't matter if we see a 12, three or four or five, we just want to see that oh they actually sat for it. OK, whatever it is, but again, don't stress about it if you're anticipating to take an exam for next year for 2021, feel free to put that as planned. If you would like. However, again, don't worry about it. We know this year is very unpredictable.
Leticia Garay
04:33:56 PM
For more information on how and what to include in your GPA, please see: https://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/admission-requirements/freshman-requirements/gpa-requirement.html
So the activities and awards section. OK, so there are different categories for you. You have your awards and honors, educational programs, extracurricular activity, other coursework, non A through G, volunteering community service, and then work experience, right? So you can choose up to 20 activities, 20 awards, 20 combinations of this, you have a Max of 20. You can do two awards won, extracurricular activity, one work experience. You can do five extracurriculars.
04:34:27 PM
Why does pass/fail not affect overall GPA. Counting it as 4 should pull up the average GPA, except that a student gets all 4s for all the courses. Or is there a special way to count pass/fail?
Leticia Garay
04:34:34 PM
See link above.
Two work experience. However, the combination is. This is a place where we really want to learn about you. We also know that's junior year for you. Seniors right now, junior year spring term was you were totally uprooted right? So maybe you were in a club. Maybe you're participating in sports. You can still include that. An put 11th grade year on there. If you are still planning to participate. That in that this upcoming year your senior year, please put it in there. If you had a summer internship a summer job.
Goni Hutt
04:34:50 PM
Can you choose different majors for the different campus's you apply to?
Leticia Garay
04:34:57 PM
Yes, you can!
Jack Schuring
04:35:06 PM
Does being a middle college student consider you as a transfer student if you fulfill the transfer requirements?
Something to do this summer? You can put it in here and say in the box, right? There's little characters for you to put in to explain what happened. You can say I had a summer internship at Stanford. I was going to do an internship at Kaiser, but was unable to do to kovid. I had to do an interview for it. I was prepping for whatever it is right? So just explain it to us. We understand this pandemic. This social justice movement that is happening is affecting our work. Our usual life.
So if if you were participating in the spring, if you're planning to participate this upcoming year, put it in your application and there is space for you to include.
Leticia Garay
04:35:50 PM
Students are considered transfer students if they take college courses AFTER high school graduation in a regular term (fall, winter, spring).
You know a sentence in there about about it. If it was postponed. If you had to cancel it, maybe you were still able to transition that tutoring online, and then you can write about that in here as well. So again, we really want to learn about you, your environment, what happened. All of that in the activities and awards section? Sometimes students will ask. Well, I don't have a lot of activities and awards, that's OK. Honestly, this place is for you to put anything that you do outside of school, so if you're self teaching.
04:36:15 PM
What if you want to change majors later?
How to play the guitar. How to play the piano coding. Maybe you have to take care of grandparents, parents, younger siblings. That's volunteer work right? We want to know what you're doing with your time. And yeah, some of you might participate in a lot of school activities. Some of you might be more involved in the community. Again, some of you might have home responsibilities. Some of you might commute. So again, we want to know all of that in your activities and awards section.
Leticia Garay
04:36:55 PM
Please see each campus for more information on changing majors. At UCD, we allow students to petition for a major change after their first quarter at UCD. Some majors may have pre-requistis.
A little bit about scholarships so the UC application again is 1 application for all of the you sees. It is also your scholarship application, which is fantastic. It's all in one place so students you will just be able to click on the different categories. Click which ones you think you might qualify for. You can apply for as many scholarships as you want and then our scholarships Department will review it all. The scholarships of that are going to be listed on your application are going to be available available for you based on the UCS that you apply into.
Cupertino School
04:37:07 PM
Will international students be allowed to apply to UCs this year?
Leticia Garay
04:37:16 PM
Yes. Any student can apply
So the personal insight questions this is another place where students can quote Unquote standout iOS. A stand out in the sense of for you to give us insight on who you are. So there are eight total questions for freshman. You choose four of them you can. It doesn't matter which questions you choose. Some students think that you see wants to see leadership. I have to respond to leadership uses. Want to see a challenge? I have to respond to challenge. You don't have to respond to any any particular one. We really want you to respond to questions that pertain to you. So if you.
04:38:03 PM
Some schools don't have weighted GPA. Does UC have this info or is there a place in the application to indicate that somehow?
Have leadership, great if you have a creative side, please tell us about that. Maybe you did something for your school? Tell us about that. I know we've all been home. Some of you have done stuff for your community. That's really great. Tell us about that. You do have 350 word maximum. I know that's not a lot of words. I know all of you are so used to writing so many words. So this is a time for you not to fluff. Don't tell me about the sunny day where you saw the moon rise and.
I don't know swaying in front of you and you decided you want to go into marine biology. I don't need all of that, I just need you to tell me I'm interested in marine biology because XY and Z or when I was younger. I really liked XY and Z and that's why I'm interested in this. Whatever it is, OK get to the point. 350 words is not a lot of words. I want to hear your voice, so write it as if you were talking to me. Write it as if you're talking to Laticia the tiara Chrissy, or one of your friends. We want your voice to shine through.
Of course it is academic, right? But it is not an English paper. We're not going to grade. You want it. We want to hear your voice, OK, and you're probably wondering, Are you sure? How can you tell? It's our voice? We can tell when again, a student is being truthful. I always get asked.
Leticia Garay
04:38:57 PM
UC will calculate their own GPA. Students can also provide that info in the additional comments section.
What makes a personal insight response stand out?
What makes it sound out to me and what I remember the most from certain responses is when I can tell a student is really taking me into their life and their experiences there, really telling me in detail about that leadership experience, what they learn from it, very truthful and honest about what they're telling us, because that's their life that's very experienced. So again, tell us about who you are. I know a lot of us are influenced by our friends or family or brother.
Are ants so yes, you can say I you know my favorite subject is chemistry because my uncle did XY and Z for a job and it was really interesting but then turn it back around to you. OK, we're trying to admit you we want to learn about you, not so much about your aunt and Uncle. I know they're great, but we want to learn about you and how great you are.
OK Christy, I'm going to stop there really quick. Before you go into additional comments, are there questions on?
activities and awards OK.
Hansika Yadav
04:40:06 PM
Just to clarify, if we switched from letter grade to credit/no credit midway through the 2nd semester, the only letter grades that will contribute to our GPA are those from 1st semester and not the ones given during 2nd semester, correct?
Leticia Garay
04:40:32 PM
Yes. More information about COVID related changes: https://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/response-covid-19.html
Yes, so we have a couple of questions again all across the board. So one question is, students are asking about the freshman application versus the transfer application. This is a UC application workshop, so we unfortunately will not go in depth into that. But we do have transfer workshops on our website, so that's one. Another one is online courses. So if a student is tending a California Community College course and online course at BYU, you are required to list out course on your UC application.
04:41:03 PM
What is a closed major?
And it will be listed from the school you attended, not your high school. So if it's a BYU course, you will list BYU the year you completed and the course in great. If it's a California Community College, same thing. It will not be from your high school. It will be from the California Community College. Another one is the student attended 9th grade out of the US. So you will list the 9th grade from your country. So if it was Korea, you Willis, Korea and the horses in grading scale from Korea.
Leticia Garay
04:41:14 PM
Closed majors are ones that are not accepting students.
Karen Asakawa
04:41:18 PM
can you still transfer through UC schools?
If it was Mexico, China, Canada, whatever country school it was, you will list the courses and grades from that transcript. OK, I'm another one is like recovering the PQ questions, so those of you for 9th, 10th and 11th graders, the peak use will not change. You can go to theadmissionuniversityofcalifornia.edu and there that is where you will see the PQ questions so that you can start looking at them. You don't necessarily need to start.
Leticia Garay
04:41:37 PM
Yes but transfer admissions has different requirements.
Kevin Li
04:41:50 PM
Does choosing a school as selected/alternate affect admission chances?
AUC application. You can look at the PIQ questions on line again. You can type in UC application peak use it will directly right to the PIQ's and then Lastly I want to talk about volunteer work volunteer work sports whether it's at the club level, the school level. Again we're all in different parts of California. I'm down in LA so I have a little tighter restrictions. Again, my kids aren't allowed to really do sport yet, so again, please include any of that.
In the application, whether it's in school, out of school, church, community, in any of those, please include on your application. Alright, back to the presentation. Thank you, Mel.
Leticia Garay
04:42:45 PM
There is no option to select alternate campus through a ranking system but each campus evaluates applications independently so campuses do not know where you're applying to.
Great thanks Chrissy. I did want to very briefly just touch on the difference between the transfer application and the freshman application. Again, it's one application for all you see is whether it's a freshman or a transfer applicant. You're still going to put your coursework instead of high school classes. You're only going to put your college courses. You will transfer. Students also have to complete personal insight questions. So for freshman, there's eight questions you choose, four of them for transfer. You have one required question.
04:43:02 PM
If you select a major, are you obligated to stick with that major or can you change it if you change your mind later?
Kotomi Inaba
04:43:04 PM
Is it possible to double major?
And then you have seven options and you choose three. So you still have to respond to four of them. The word count is the exact same 350 word maximum, and that's the major difference between a transfer Anna freshman application. You see why it looks exactly. It looks like this. It's just you're putting your college work instead of your high school work.
Great thanks and so we're going to go ahead. I know we're getting close to time so additional comments there is an additional comments after the personal insight questions. It is 555 hundred 50 words. Sorry this is wrong. 550 words, so additional comments under personal insight question is 550 words so that is a lot of words. This is a place for you to talk about COVID-19 to talk about the Social Justice Movement. This is for you to talk about.
Leticia Garay
04:43:44 PM
It depends on the campus. At UCD, we allow students to change majors and double major however, there may be pre-requistes to change majors.
Hannah Patrice Azur
04:43:47 PM
Should Sophomores apply as soon as possible or should we wait until junior year?
Leticia Garay
04:44:06 PM
Freshman applicants traditionally apply in the fall of their senior year.
Anything after you want us to know that you did not talk about in your PQ responses in your activities and awards. This is a place for students to again include anything extra. This is not a place for you to copy and paste your resume. This is not a place for you to copy and paste your links to your website. Your LinkedIn, your Instagram, your YouTube. Do not do that please. We want to hear your voice so again, anything extra.
04:44:32 PM
Is there a place in the application to attach additional details - accomplishments, awards etc,?
Leticia Garay
04:44:38 PM
Melanie is talking about it now.
It doesn't have to be an essay. You can really just type in. You know, I don't know whatever you would like to type in here. This is a place for you to in tell us anything extra in the UC application. If you have any questions about what to write in here, talk to your counselors at your high schools. You can always email me personally and say, Hey Melanie, I was wondering should I put this here or here? Does it fit in the additional comments and then I will help you through that entire process. OK, so again there is a space for you to include anything extra. Not in the UC application.
Their review and submit it does have check marks when it will tell you when that section is complete. If there there is no check Mark, Obviously there's something missing so you can automatically go to the academic history.
04:44:56 PM
Can you have major and alternate major in different departments?
Leticia Garay
04:45:04 PM
Yes, it is actually recommended.
Hannah Moshtaghi
04:45:20 PM
Will we need to specify our grades for the courses we took in seventh or eight grade?
When you are submitting, please make sure again. I know this sounds ridiculous. Please make sure you press submit. We want to make sure that you submit your application. This is a place where you will submit it. It will give you your total fees for the application this student was qualified for the fee waiver so they got for applications waived for free and then if they apply to more than they would have to pay the difference. So again make sure you get to this page. Make sure you press submit and.
Leticia Garay
04:45:36 PM
Only for courses that are used for A-G such as math and language other than English.
This is what it should look like when you submit it. It should say good job, you did it. You have your application ID number you submitted On this date and then your confirmation. So you should always have a UC application ID. If you called any you see that you applied into you, give them your UC ID number and we can look look it up in our system. Without this you did not officially submit your UC application. OK so please make sure you get that. Congratulations, you apply to You University of California.
Here is your application ID number each and every year. We still get students that think they applied, but they never actually pressed something.
04:46:05 PM
In the form where I have to enter middle school courses, How do we know which is High School level courses?
Leticia Garay
04:46:10 PM
See above.
Kotomi Inaba
04:46:29 PM
What if I attended a middle school in a different country? (for the 7th and 8th grade classes)
At the very end, students this is very important for you. You will be able to check off if you would like to release authorization to counselors to your parents. So what that means is if you check this box, if your accounts are or your parent calls us, we can talk to them about your application. Or if you applied to us. If you do not check it, we will not talk to them about your application whatsoever and then you are also signing the statement of integrity that again everything that you submit it is truthful an honest to the best of your ability.
And again, honesty is the best policy.
Leticia Garay
04:46:52 PM
That is okay. Please indicate that in your educational history/ additional comments.
Aryan Dwivedi
04:47:01 PM
If we completed courses through concurrent enrollment, is there some way to add our official transcript for those courses?
Do you see application? You can only make two changes in after you submit it. One of 'em is your personal information. The second is if you want to add any other you see to apply into. Otherwise you cannot make any changes to the UC application after you submit it. So again, double check triple check everything in there.
Do you see application center is open? They do a really great job of responding to our student questions to our accounts are questions to our parent Guardian questions. So here's the information on here. I know it says take a photo, but don't worry, you'll have access to this recording afterwards and then. I do have some useful resources, so this is just general admission information. It has the UC response to COVID-19 and has the personal insight questions on there, so I know some students that are not seniors that are.
You know junior software freshman. You can look at the questions now and then. It does have the information for freshmen and transfer on there.
Leticia Garay
04:47:43 PM
Official transcripts cannot be submitted through the app so you should enter the school and courses in the educational history just like when you input your high school courses.
Rachel Xalxo
04:48:02 PM
If you want to transfer are there ways to see what UC General ED cources are equivalent to Community College credits? Also, UC Davis is based on a quarter system, right ?
And then information about financial aid undocumented students, the middle class scholarship, again, fast funding California DREAM Act. Again, I didn't want to touch too much on that. The resources are here. I know. Again, it says, take a photo, but you will have access to this afterwards and last but not least, we have about 12 minutes until five. So here is my email if you want to take it down, please do so again. You'll have access to the recording. You can always email me about personal questions, whether it's tomorrow, tonight, next week in September or October.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm hoping this helped you through that you see application. I promise it isn't as scary as it is. It can be kind of fun to work on a students. I promise as long as you break it up in chunks. If you're sitting there for one day, it does get pretty daunting. But otherwise, if you break it up, you know a day here a day there, it's it won't be too bad.
Leticia Garay
04:48:46 PM
The IGETC pattern for UC will be a good outline for that. Please work with a community college counselor to understand those requirements. You can also look on Asisst.org.
Leticia Garay
04:48:53 PM
Yes, UCD is on the quarter system.
Alright dear and the tecia are there any questions in here? Again, thank you for bearing with us. There are a lot of questions in there and I know that ECM Chrissy are doing their best to get to all of them. And like I said if we did not get to them right now, please always send me an email directly.
Yeah, I know what. So first I want to talk about PIQ, so these are the personal insight questions. So yes, they you will fill out one UC application for all nine campuses. So if you remember the previous slide Mail had the beautiful map of California. So there are nine campuses you will be filling out one UC application. So again these personal statements. Personal insight questions.
You will fill out for CF350 words for the. For personal insight questions and they will be going to all campuses so we do share the applications. But what we don't share is that making the decision, making the admission decision so we will not confer with UCLA. UC Berkeley, UC San Diego. Are you going to admit Christy? Then we won't emit with you. So that is a complete room. Are we the only thing we share is the UC application. We do not share any other information.
04:50:01 PM
How do you input online courses from accreddited online instituitions on the application?
OK, if you have started an app. If you're a freshman sophomore junior and you started an application to see what it looks like, there's nothing you need to do so you can complete the app other than like the payment, just to kind of see what the app looks like. But again, there's no way to delete the app. You just need a kind of not submit payment unless you are a senior, OK?
Leticia Garay
04:50:23 PM
ALL institutions can be included in the educational history section.
Next is can you upload letters of rec. Additional information, resume websites. So no, the application you cannot upload any additional information, so we do not accept letters of rec and we do not accept any additional information. So again, you cannot add in anything extra. There's no way to upload any information and submit that OK. One other thing is visits. Can you visit our campus so we do have wonderful?
04:50:56 PM
Does sat language subject test replace the 2 years second language requirements?
04:51:03 PM
Will the students who opted to take a gap year this year impact the number of available spots for fall of 2021?
04:51:09 PM
How is maximum number of UC campuses can a student apply?
Veronica Zendejas
04:51:12 PM
Student who deferred this year will not impact the amount of students we will be admitting next year.
Leticia Garay
04:51:13 PM
For more info on how to meet A-G: https://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/admission-requirements/freshman-requirements/subject-requirement-a-g.html
Virtual visits of our campus of our dorm rooms. We do have that available. Again, we don't have tours right now. If you go to again each of the UC's are doing webinars on pretty much everything how to come as a freshman, how to come as a transfer, how to visit our campus water dorm rooms are current student panel so please visit each of our campuses. We do have that information available on our websites and then Lastly is the major and minor. So on our campus we do have over 100 majors.
We also have quite a few minor, so you can do a major and a minor. You can do a double major, but we do have some very unique minors that I would highly encourage students to look at on our campus active email.
Melanie David
04:51:40 PM
Students can apply to as many UC's they would like, again, there is a fee for each application they send.
Jessica Wiley
04:51:43 PM
How do you submit grades when first semester was a letter grade but second semester, due to COVID was P/F?
Arthur Chan
04:52:02 PM
How are community college classes rolled into GPA? Is there a weight for it like APs or Honors?
Hey, thank you. I know there are some questions about again the peak use and clarifying that. So the personal insight questions are the essay I don't like to call them essays 'cause it's not an essay. I like to call them responses because you are responding to these questions. There's I also don't call. I know it's his answer on there but there's no. I mean you're responding to them right? There's no specific answer where what we're looking for is insight on who you are.
Veronica Zendejas
04:52:06 PM
College courses are counted in the GPA like AP and Honors courses.
About your leadership. About your greatest skill or talent. So that is your essay for the UC application. So just want to make sure of that. And like Chrissy said, there is going to be we at UC Davis are hosting a lot of webinars for students. We there is one specific too.
Leticia Garay
04:52:31 PM
You can add a comment in the educational history section and choose a different grading system for that semester.
The personal insight questions. So that is an hour or like 45 minutes on just the personal insight questions, so hopefully you can join us then. We also have a variety of other ones that will be sent in the email that I send you after this presentation that has the link to the recording. So again after this presentation you will be getting an email that has a link to the recording of this where you have access to. Again the recording the PowerPoint and then you will have access to wear to see our webinars.
04:53:06 PM
My student has attended 9th grade outside USA and 10th grade onwards in USA...So GPA will be calculated separately?
Leticia Garay
04:53:16 PM
9th grade isn't calculated.
Other uses, like Chrissy said, are hosting their own webinars are hosting virtual tours, so definitely check it out. I know it's hard right now to visit our campus is. I always say Gohan physically visit our campuses 'cause we're all very different. We're in different locations. We have different vibes of our campus. All of us are going to give you a great education. We have a lot of access to internship and career career fairs. We have access to research opportunities we have access to a lot of different clubs.
04:53:41 PM
Is staying in a dorm mandatory for UC schools?
04:53:47 PM
Does your senior GPA affect your admission?
Leticia Garay
04:53:49 PM
Depends on the campus. We do not require it.
Look at all of the you see. See what each UC has to offer. You might find something new about each of the campuses and it doesn't matter how many uses you applying to. Some students apply to four because that's what they can afford with the fee waiver, right? Some of you might apply to all nine campuses, but again, just know there is a $70.00 fee for each campus that you apply to.
Veronica Zendejas
04:53:55 PM
When we review your UC application we do not have the ability to see your senior year grades, but if you are admitted we ask students to maintain the same level of academic performance as when you were admitted.
Rachel Xalxo
04:53:55 PM
before COVID- 19 did you ask for letters of recs? Also where can you find minors?
04:53:58 PM
Does the grade attained in Summer Academy after 9th grade count?
Leticia Garay
04:54:17 PM
Yes grades are calculated with courses in the summer following 9th through summer after 11th
Like Chrissy said, we can't reiterate this enough. Each campuses are own individual evaluation of each application, so students can get admitted to all campuses that they apply to. Some students can get admitted to know campuses that they applied to. Some students can get admitted to, you know, a couple, and then not admitting to another. Again, we don't call each you see up and say hey, what did you tell you know what? What do you think about Christie's application? We don't have time for that. We don't have time for interviews, unfortunately.
Christy Blaine
04:54:29 PM
UC's have not asked for letters of rec in the UC Application. You can not upload any additional information in the UC Application.
Kiersten Ngeow
04:54:44 PM
How do the guaranteed admissions work for transfer community college students?
So closest thing we get to interviewing you is your personal insight questions. This is where you're giving us insight on your life about your academics. It doesn't always have to be about academics. You can tell us about something you do in your community. Maybe it's a special skill or talent that you have someone talked about makeup. Someone talked about hair braiding, take us into your life, and your experience is what we're looking at. Is you in your environment? So yes, you all live in the same kind of region. Some of you go to the same high school, but you all go home too.
Leticia Garay
04:54:59 PM
Transfer guarantee: https://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/admission-requirements/transfer-requirements/transfer-admission-guarantee-tag.html
04:55:07 PM
In years past that there was early application for Oct. and early admissions. Is that gone now?
Harry Chu
04:55:11 PM
can we do a virtual tour if we are a sophomore or junior?
Different places, and that's what we want to learn about. We know you're high school offers XY and Z, so how are you taking advantage of those opportunities? Lot of you are taking advantage of those opportunities. Some of you don't have time or the resources to participate 'cause you have other obligations. And that's OK. Tell us about that. OK, tell us about that. That's the closest thing that we have.
Leticia Garay
04:55:23 PM
There's no early admission/ decision at UC.
Nadya Svidzerskaya
04:55:40 PM
When filling out our academic info and grades, should we write pass/no pass when filling out grades for last second semester if our school did credit/no credit?
Christy Blaine
04:55:43 PM
ucdavis.edu/about/visit.campus-virtual-tour/
Veronica Zendejas
04:55:44 PM
If your school provided credit/no credit please just fill the application in with Pass/No Pass
Want to reiterate no letters of recommendation? There is no place for you to upload anything when you are submitting your UC application. What I went through that's all there is. There is no upload here. There's no upload button, so again, whatever you put in your application is what the you see is going to look at. OK, so no letters of recommendation needed, note portfolios if astrik, right. If a campus needs something for you for whatever reason.
Anika Chandwani
04:56:06 PM
Should we include the fact that our test centers were closed in the additional info section?
The campus will email you directly, so that's why I say it is very important to check your email to check your junk Mail to check whatever it is to check your email. If AUC campus needs something for you for whatever reason, you will need to respond to them directly. OK, but again, right off the bat when you're working on anything. Whatever we went through here, that is what you're going to be completing.
Leticia Garay
04:56:24 PM
You can but SAT/ ACT tst scores submitted by applicants will not be used in the comprehensive application review process.
Christy, any last minute questions. Before we end, I know we're getting down to the wire.
04:56:31 PM
when do students need to make major selection if they enter undecided?
I know I think we're good. I mean, there's a lot of variety of questions. Unfortunately, we could get to all of them because there are so many. Again, there's over 1300 of you in the in the cat on the line, so unfortunately we're not able to get to everyone. But again, you can reach out to us and hopefully will be able to help you on line. Thank you.
Leticia Garay
04:56:53 PM
There's undecided majors but it depends on campus. UCD has a few of these.
Yeah, great. So like Christy said, there is a lot of you on the call. I think at one point we had about 1300 of you. So thank you so much for being with us today. I am going to end it a little bit early but you all let me put up my email again. You all have access to my email. Please email me if we did not get to your question. Like I said, there is a specific personal insight question webinar. That link will be in the email that I send you afterwards, so keep an eye out for my email. I will probably come out in.
04:57:25 PM
Where would one put a un-paid internship under
Veronica Zendejas
04:57:31 PM
An unpaid internship can be added to the volunteer section.
Varshini Peddinti
04:57:40 PM
Thank you so much for the presentation! :)
Alex Sanchez
04:57:47 PM
Thank you!
Next couple hours. If not, don't email me yet. I will email you tomorrow with the link for this recording and the web and RK so you know the PQ web and R is going to give you a lot more insight on how to write it. There might be examples, who knows, but please attend it. My colleagues are going to do such a great job presenting. Who knows, you might see in that presentation. So again, thank you all so much for joining us here today. I'm sorry we couldn't give you super concrete information about the SAT or AC T but the number one thing is stay safe.
Megan Lucas
04:58:09 PM
Thank you!
Stress about it. You will still be a competitive applicant because you're going to provide us a lot of information in your UC application. So thank you all for joining me here today. Thank you for bearing with us. Thank you Letitia and Chrissy for helping in the chat and thank you all. Take care everyone, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your fault. I seniors.
