    UC TAP Open Lab

Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 5:00 PM until 6:00 PMPacific Standard Time UTC -08:00

UC TAP Open Lab is designed to bring UC TAP (Transfer Admission Planner) awareness to all prospective transfer students currently enrolled at a California Community College campus. This workshop is hosted by the UC Davis Transfer Opportunity Program (TOP) and led by our amazing team of Student Outreach Ambassadors (SOA).

    What is UC TAP?

    • UC TAP stands for UC Transfer Admission Planner. It is an online tool to help track your progress with UC admission requirements. As you enter your courses and grades earned every semester, (if filled out correctly), the TAP will calculate your UC GPA and UC transferable units.

    Why use UC TAP?

    • UC representatives will use your record on the UC TAP to provide tailored advising.
    • UC Davis TOP uses this database to invite students to exclusive programs and transfer-related opportunities.
    • UC TAP is where you complete and manage your Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG).

Are you ready to get started on your UC TAP? Please follow the checklist below.

    • Step 1: Gather your documents, including unofficial transcripts and AP/IB exam scores (if applicable).
    • Step 2: Visit https://uctap.universityofcalifornia.edu/students/
    • Step 3: Follow the instructions on UC TAP Navigation on Youtube
    • Step 4: Log in to your UC TAP account and complete all sections, from “About Me” to “When and Where I Plan to Transfer.” If you are unsure how to complete a section, assistance will be available during the Open Lab.
    • Step 5: Have all your documents and a laptop/computer ready for the UC TAP open lab working session.
    • Pro Tip: Work carefully and enter information exactly as it appears on your transcripts to ensure accuracy.
Note: If you attended a college outside the California Community College system, your courses will not auto-populate. You will need to manually enter the course subject, title, and units.

By the end of the session, you will leave with a polished and accurate UC TAP account.
