    About UC SEATS

    Open to all students, this free, one-day event is designed to support and empower high school students, community college students and their families on their path to higher education.

    The conference will introduce attendees to the University of California (UC) system, showcase all nine undergraduate UC campuses, and provide attendees with an understanding of undergraduate admission requirements and the transfer process. In addition, attendees will have an opportunity to experience a college and resource fair, tour the UC Davis campus, and engage with current UC staff and students through various workshops and activities.

    FAQ

    Who is eligible to attend the event?
    The event is open to all students, including high school students and community college students, as well as their families and counselors.
    Is there a fee to attend?
    No, the event is free for all attendees. Light refreshments and lunch will be provided.
    Can families attend the event?
    Yes! Families are encouraged to attend the event, as it provides valuable information for parents and guardians about the college admissions process. Simply add them as guests in your registration.
    Will transportation be provided?
    No, transportation will not be provided for the event.
    Will there be any parking available?
    Yes, on campus parking is available and free of charge on the weekends. We recommend parking at the Quad Parking Structure.
    What will the weather be like in Davis?
    You can expect the morning to be chilly with a low around 50°F’s and the afternoon to be warm in the 80°F’s. We recommend that you dress in light layers.
    What should I bring to the event?
    We recommend bringing the following:
    • Comfortable shoes for the campus tour
    • A notebook or device if you would like to take notes during workshops and sessions
    • Any questions you may have about the UC system, admissions, or transferring
    Can I attend if I’m not interested in transferring to UC Davis?
    Absolutely! The event is open to all high school and community college students interested in learning about the entire UC system. Whether you’re interested in UC Davis or another UC campus, the information provided will be valuable in understanding the UC application process and admissions requirements.
    Will there be opportunities to speak with UC staff or students?
    Yes, there will be plenty of opportunities to engage with current UC staff from all 9 campuses and students during workshops, Q&A sessions, and the college fair. This is a great chance to ask questions and learn firsthand about student life and the admissions process.
