    About Journey to UC

    Jumpstart your college journey! Students from Northern California community colleges are invited to experience UC Davis and UC Berkeley in a free three-day, two-night program. Learn about UC transfer admission requirements, campus majors, transfer resources and tools, student life and both campuses. Priority is given to the community colleges listed below:

    Topics will include
    :
    • UC transfer requirements
    • Transfer resources and tools
    • Academic preparation and planning
    • Financial literacy
    • Tour of UC Davis and UC Berkeley
    • Transfer student life and experience
    Eligibility:
    • Complete the following sections of the UC Transfer Admission Planner, known as UC TAP.
      • About me (personal information, demographic information, support programs)
      • My academic history (schools attended, coursework, exams, if any) — include past, current, and planned coursework through spring 2026, if available
      • My transfer plan (where and when I plan to transfer)
    • Enrolled in community colleges listed above.
    • 18 years of age at the start of the program.
    Program cost:

    Journey to UC is free of cost. Housing, meals, and program supplies are provided. Participants will be assigned a hotel room to share with another participant (two students per room).

    A charter bus will be provided by the program for the UC Berkeley campus visit.

    Accommodations can be requested upon acceptance to the program. 

    Transportation to and from UC Davis may be provided by your community college. If transportation is not available, the program will provide a gas card to help offset the cost of travel.
